choices of clothing

Watching Sunday Morning on TV this morning they has a segment on women and clothing, they said what cars are to men clothing is to women. My question is, do you, aas a woman remember the first clothing you were allowed to choose for yourself
as a child? I remember the first time I was forced to wear what I didn't want to, it was a dress, I was a true tom boy and hated wearing anything except jeans and a t-shirt. I do remember the first clothing I was given as a gift that I chose myself.
It was a pair of cowboy boots with fancy tops. I must have been 7 or 8 years old at the time and once I put those on I felt fully dressed up.

i don't remember picking anything out for myself....it's probably just my memory. I have a twin sister & we always wore the same thing, but as we got older it turned into the same thing, but different colors! i would like to be more into clothes, but right now i cannot afford anything nice. so, i don't care that much about my wardrobe; it's like i buy for necessity, not want. Someday, when i get back on track with my life, i want to walk into a department store and buy an outfit without looking at the price tag!

I don´t like some colors and I have nver liked them. And I also remember a "lucky" jacket I had when I was little, the first one my mother had a seamstress made. I was red, my favorite color. And when I wore it while going out anywhere with my Dad, he´d take me to a special place for sweets. Maybe he took me only once or twice, but in my memory it´s all the time.

I remember being allowed to choose new clothes for school the first time. I also remember when I was not allowed to choose or try on, and things felt bad or were not to my taste and I hated them. I have lots of clear memories of my mom designing things for me, either remaking old clothes or scrimping for fabric. This discussion makes me want to go write down the clothes I remember and why. Thanks. Later, I would "design" clothes and mom would make them or help me to. I was much more into clothes when I was younger and thinner.

I remember choosing a little suede mini skirt with bright yellow tights which I wore with knee high boots. I was nine years old and I loved that outfit so much! It was the very first time I was allowed to choose clothing for myself and I was excited because I used to hate the dresses and skirts my mother used to buy for me. I let my daughter choose her own stuff, within reason of course!

I actually know that I've been choosing my own clothes for as long as I can remember. I have vague memories of picking out things for myself when I was three years old and since then I know that I've been chosing all of my own clothes. Now my daughter is eight years old and she definitely has a sense of style that is all her own, but I know what kinds of things that she likes so I am able to choose some things for her, but I also let her choose all of her own things that are not intended to be gifts.

I choose clothes itself.When I was little my mother told me that you look good or else.But never made ??me wear something that I liked.I love almost all colors red black and white and all.
if you know how to match the clothes and to combine it all becomes very successful.
All my clothes I try to have one bag and some shoes to combine well.
