"Ambulance here..Please leave the way...Emergency!!!"

Traffic is very usual and hectic problem in almost all parts of world. The reasons list out - VIP/Politician arrival, over population, increase of vehicles, Peak times and what not
. Yesterday it was a weekend though, the traffic was real hectic. And it was almost stopped some miles
. All of sudden there was an ambulance syringe and it was really some emergency inside. But it was shocking to see none of the vehicles were bothered to move and leave the way. The poor Ambulance driver, stopped the syringe and shouted.."Ambulance here, please leave the way, Emergency!!". Then vehicles cleared and left the way. Every second is precious for the critical patient inside ambulance
. Though every one aware of it, but still pathetic to see the least importance given to the Ambulance which saves the human life!

that issue really struck me ever since i had awareness. i am really upset every time i see "VIP's"(who are really not so important) having their escort riders clearing their path, and even passing through reds. if given the chance to be elected as a congressman, i'll pass a bill that would eliminate VIP escorts and turn them into ambulance escorts..but i think i'll let those in the position to do that..i don't want to engage into the dirty world of politics..

and I really appreciate your anger against these
. True even I wonder the same, how they care for the living politician by making us wait all day. But the sufferers are the ambulance. This issue has to taken serious as saving a life is important than the dirty politicians.

I have seen this happen so many times too. People just do not have any respect to obey the siren and pull over. They just do not take it seriously like they should.

Hi Stephcjh, Yes they dont take it seriously, after all its a life of fellow man. Even if we cannot save, we can atleast let the ambulance save the life by leaving the way.

I have seen that happen too and I think sometimes people panic. It might not be that they don't want to move over...it's because they are like I said in a panic. Also I don't think some people know...it seems it would be common sense but sometimes people just don't think!

Hi Jillhill, yes its also true. People get panic and does not know how to react that time as well. Its a tough situation indeed in a hectic traffic.

Oh my yes, I too have witnessed many who clearly can see the ambulance with their roaring sirens and can't understand why they do not get out of the way as soon as they can.
The loud siren is an indicator that an emergency is under way. I for one see the flashing lights and or hear the sirens and panic quickly to get out of the way. Guess not everyone is the same. 
If only they understood that it could be me and or someone they cared about in the ambulance and or awaiting for medical attention.

Hi HWG, yes i seen it quite few times, but during traffic times its really sad. Though people do moving their vehicles and leaving way, sometimes the heavy traffic makes others tired, so they dont take it serious to let the vehicle go.
