Tomorrow I will be taking my 4 year old disabled son and my almost to be 2 year old daughter away for one week to Yorkshire. Instead of my son's wheelchair I will be taking our Phil and Ted's buggy. It will carry him and most of our baggage. My daughter will be able to walk on this trip now she is old enough. We will be staying in a seaside town called Scarborough. Usually I rush of overseas to different countries in the world. For my son's enjoyment we will be traveling by train with two changes. It will be more relaxing than driving my car all the way up there. It was three years ago that I had a long weekend in an area further north. My son was a baby then and my daughter wasn't yet born.

Great i hope you have an amazing time! Family holidays make for amazing memories and i enjoy reminising on my family memories. I think its good of you to take your children away for a holiday and shows your a good parent, not that all parents can afford to do it... which is different some people just dont care enough too. I have seen most the states in my country breifly but would love to expore them better and at a deeper level, travelling with more information about the places im visiting to get the most out of the experience.

When Living in Scotland growing up,I wasn't old enough to drive and hadn't started working full time to earn enough to pay for trips away,so most of my travel there was with family, neighbours,or on school trips..but I got to know parts of Glasgow and its suburbs, the Clyde coast,Visited Edinburgh a few times and had a few school camps in interesting places and some historical visits...Living now in Ireland,I've had 5 different addresses here in different parts of the north, and job placements in a few others,so I think I've explored or travelled through a good bit of the North, but not so much of the Republic..West coast and Donegal,Yes,but the rest of the country and Dublin has mostly been airport runs and concert trips..I've yet to be south of Dublin,or North of Loch Lomond in Scotland..I'd like to see the Aurora Borealis sometime,so the North of Scotland is on my to do list, and Kerry and the south of Ireland is a major tourist destination,so maybe I'll get to it sometime!

No, I haven't. Till I was married 11 years ago, I've lived outside this country and would once in two years or so and we didn't have enough time to go anywhere except visit our relatives in our hometown. Now that I've been here for 11 years, we can't afford to be travelling often. But last year my husband did take us to another state and a wonderful place called Jaipur. Two years before that he took us to 2 places during the summer vacation!! So, we are hoping that we can see more of our country since going abroad is expensive.

Wow, it is a good idea to use a buggy. How is Scarborough? I heard this name in a lyric of a song 'Are you going to Scarborough Fair?' I hope you can share some of your experience there. For myself I do visit and explore my own country during the short school break. I normally visit some of the islands for a weekend break. A great destination to rest and relax, at the same time explore the nature

I love to travel. I've been most of the places in my country. Our country is an archipelago, so there are lots of beautiful islands. I've been encouraging my family, friends and relatives to explore our country through visiting the tourist spots and natures wonders. We are in a tropical country and lots of exciting places and adventures are in store. It is like paradise. Water is so abundant and the sun will always be around to welcome us. Foods are delicious and affordable. Most importantly the people are very hospitable. Traveling is much fun too, if the whole family is with you. Sharing experiences and learning through travel in your own country is knowing your roots and very educational, as well. :)

I have been in much of Canada, went to Saskatchewan, Alberta and B.C. Also passed through Ontario, Quebec, and New Brunswick on the way to P.E.I. Have not been in Nova Scotia and Newfoundland. I draw the line at going to the North West Territories, although if I take another Alaskan cruise, and I take the excursion that goes into the former gold fields, might go to the Yukon. There are some places here that it is way to cold to go unless you want to look at icebergs and go by dog sled, or the modern equivalent, but been in Saskatchewan and B.C. a lot. But right now I have to get my basement fixed up, so I will be lucky if I leave Manitoba.

The United States is quite huge. In Europe, the amount of space that covers America would encompass several countries on the other continent. Of the 50 states in America, I've been to thrity-three of them. I feel like it is a gift that I was able to do that. Every summer my dad would go to a conference, and we would go with him. And every year that conference was in a different place. We also lived briefly in California, so I saw a lot more of that state as well.

My country is huge and I have only traveled to some of the big cities like Shanghai, Suzhou, Xuzhou, Hangzhou and Nanchang, etc. Each time I paid a visit to these places, I felt very happy. Very soon I will go to study in Hangzhou and I will take my wife and my little son with me. I will be staying there for a week long. During the days when I study, they will either stay in the hotel or walk around the city. I am looking forward to it. Have a good day, maximax.

I haven't holidayed in the UK much at all to be honest! I have done Cornwall a few times and a city break to London occasionally but, actual holidays I prefer to go abroad. I have of course explored various bits of the UK on days out but not holidays!

I live in Canada, and I am lucky enough to say that I have had the chance to visit different parts of Canada. I haven't been able to see all of Canada, as it is a very large country to say the least, but I have seen different parts of Canada. I am really glad that I have been so lucky to do so, especially considering that it is such a beautiful country. I certainly hope that I get the opportunity to see more of Canada.

Hello there, Wow, that was really nice of you to travel with your children. How I wish I had time these days so that I will do the same. Anyways, I do not have enough money to explore every corner of my country. Let fare alone is taxiing to my pocket. From my place to other takes time to travel and fare these days is expensive..Good luck to your travel

Hi maxima, I must confess you are great. despite all the problems you face, your love for travelling is not reduced a bit. anybody in your place would have preferred to stay home. I am from India and as you must be aware, India is too big to be able to explore it fully. I am lucky to be able to see a good part of it. My first tour outside my home state of Goa was To Karnataka state along with school study tour after S.C.C. examination. During my college days I was the member of N.C.C.( National Cadet Corpse). I attended its camps in Nagpur in central India and in Cochin in South India. Then accompanying the study tour of final Year Engineering course to North India visited the historic places like, Jaipur, Agra, Delhi, Simla etc.. I also visited the northern most part of India Kashmir along with my friends and explored one of the most beautiful parts of the world. I also visited Tirupati in Andra Pradesh in south eastern part of India as pilgrimage to lord Balaji temple. I could not visit Eastern, North Eastern and south Eastern parts of India notable places I could not visit are Calcutta, Darjeeling, Shillong, Chennai and many more in these areas. I wish to visit some of these places in near future.
