I received several emails from a person claiming to be psychic and witch and she keeps telling me that my golden period is approaching and I should confirm payment of 49$ dollars to her in order to receive maximum benefit from her craft. She will do a personalized spell that will take away all my money troubles and bring my dream love in to my life. I think its just another scam to make more money what do you think?

I am a Witch myself, and I can tell you wholeheartedly, that this person is trying to scam you. this person is very unlikely to even be a Witch. if you send them money, then all they will do is spend it. no spells. no magic. just them enjoying your money. don't do it.

Wicca (the old word from which the word 'witch' is derived) is a religion, Mansha. You can see the basics of it here: http://www.religioustolerance.org/wic_beli.htm but perhaps Galena will expand a little more on the subject.

hehe. sort of. but I'm not Wiccan by a long stretch. Wicca is quite a modern religion, it was probably founded in about the 1940s, and became more mainstream follwing the repeal of the Witchcraft act in 1951. Witchcraft itself isn't a religion. it's a practice. people from all kinds of religions, or no religion at all, can practice Witchcraft. personally, I practice within the context of Pagan religious beliefs, but I have known Witches who follow other religions too. or atheists. Wicca is rather too formalised and ritual based for my personal tastes. my own practice is a sort of blend of Traditional Witchcraft of the UK, and increasingly incorporates aspects of Louisiana voodoo. because I practice Witchcraft, as a way of life, rather than as a hobby I dip my toe into, and have a decent level of ability, I can call myself a Witch. it's quite complex to explain it, but a lot of folk magic traditions have survived in many cultures through to the modern day, and I am one of the many people still practicing.

Defiantly sounds like a scam.. however I do believe that there are witches and there are spells that can help. I have brought one off a lady on eBay and she was very genuine and I got exactly what I wanted. She was extremely helpful and friendly. I wouldn't go sending any money to someone I don't know or a service I don't remember looking for...

I think it is blindingly obvious that it is a scam. No true witch would be doing this and there is nobody in the world that can cast such a silly spell. I am baffled why you feel the need to even ask

I would never pay someone for something like that. The good in our life comes from our attitude and our actions. It is not something that should be forced like that, whether it is possible or not. That is my opinion. I think you'd be better off giving that $49 to charity or a homeless person or something. That would be a better way to move the energies in a positive direction.
