Trying a new kind of green tea

A week ago, I had almost ran out of tea, so decided to pick up a couple of packages. There was a sale on and I did not want any peppermint tea this time, but just green tea, but did not just want the ordinary kind that I usually get. And I did not want a blend that had a cultural bent to it. For instance, I love mint green tea, but they call it Moroccan tea up here. If they called it just Peppermint Green Tea, I would not mind. I do not want the cashier to assume that I am going to take a trip to North AFrica or am converting to Muslim. I sort of thing that we all can try things from other countries, without assumptions. Well when I had gone to Chinese restaurants they usually offered us either Jasmine or regular Green tea. I dd have the former once, and liked it, but it was the loose tea and the sale did not include loose tea. Well in spite of it being bagged tea, it was very good. I will have to look on the net to see if it has health benefits that the reglar tea has. Has anyone tried the other varieties of regular or green tea?

I knew about the helping lose weights, and the preventing diabetes. I did not know about the others. There are some that I do not have to worry about, but glad it is keeping me from aging as fast as others, although I have the mother of a friend of mine who seems to think because my hair went white early that I am in danger of hip fractures, etc. because I fell on the ice in winter. No such problem, my bones are so strong that = they would have to use an extra sharp diamond cutted saw on them.

My two favorites are ginger tea and vanilla black tea . I do drink green tea occasionally. Seriously people up there would make an assumption like that if you bought Moroccan tea?

I do not know if they would, but the idea of naming Peppermint/Green Tea as Moroccan tea I think is a bad idea. It is just as bad as calling green tea, Chinese Tea or Japanese tea. It assumes that only people of those nations drink it and it is specially only for them. They do not call pizza, Italian flat bread, do they?

I for one am a Big fan of green teas. I usually will drink the Iced ones over the others for sure. But I have tried Lipton and some of the others out there, and they are actually quite good. There are even the ones here in the US that you can add to water that are good as well. For smoothies there is a place here that does the Best Green tea smoothies you could die for. Just wish they were closer to my house.

We are starting to get those powdered green teas here in Canada. I have not tried them yet as I am not a fan of iced tea . Myst have been all the sugar they put in the regular ice teas. I have not tried the green tea smoothies. I have not a certain brand preference. We do have the house brands, as well as the specific brands here and I like them all.

I do not like orange pekoe, the only black tea I like is Early Grey and I like camomile tea, and I get a tea that contains camomile and peppermint in it, but it is not a green tea exactly. I do not like to be assumed that if the tea is named after a country, that is assumed that you come from that country or more likely are of the religion of that country. Now with Japanese or Chinese, one look at me and they would know that I am of European descent, but with a country like Morocco, they might assume I come from there and might be a Muslim because I used to have dark hair and I do tan a little, and with Britain as with English Breakfast Tea, because there are many different races now living in England there would not be that problem. I remember when pizza and spaghetti was just coming into Canada, and they assumed that if you ordered pizza and spaghetti you were Italian. It will take time..

I have tea in the afternoons and evenings. I have to get some more peppermint green tea. I used to mix peppermint tea and green tea together and I did buy some once. I did find some loose tea in that variety, but I also have to get a smaller teapot. I can make a large tea pot of green tea and sip on it all day, but for variety or special teas, I have to see if I will like it and if they do any good.

I buy assortments of green tea, often four in a box. I really like the jasmine scented tea. Like you, I also enjoy the mint. I never consider that anyone is going to judge me by my purchases, so I do not worry about it. It has been a long time since I have used loose tea, my grandmother would use it and made very strong black tea. I have several different kinds of tea balls, I could use it, if I wanted to. I have a lot of different teas on hand, some given to me as gifts. I really enjoy Bigelow Constant Comment, even iced.

I am a tea-lover from way back. I enjoy green tea with my breakfast. Another favorite tea is black Chinese tea called Oolong. The only tea I can't abide is a red herbal tea, called "Rose Hip." Another tea that I like to have on hand is Smooth Move. This tea is made with liquorish and its mighty useful on occasion. Drink 2 cups before going to bed, and it will move you smoothly the next morning.

I love liquorise flavor, and do not have that much problem with constipation s it would be for the taste. I usually have coffee in the morning, and then have tea for the rest of the day. I did try English Breakfast tea a few times, but love Earl Grey and idid have a green tea variety, but it was non-caffinated and I need my caffine.

I have tried hard to like green tea due to its health benefits but I keep going back to my black tea, especially the Ceylon. There are many, like Assam, that I like but haven't been able to get for years but that may be because they renamed them as they seem to do that to everything and you can't find anything anymore because of it! Green tea just doesn't taste like tea to me, although I know it is. And I prefer my tea unflavored, although Lipton does have some wonderful ginger/peach white tea that is delicious.

I am mainly a coffee drinker and I cannot drink that much black tea because of the tanin. I get headaches so must have an allergy to it, somewhere. I do not like the regular green tea that much, more into peppermint tea, but I find some brands do not have as much peppermint in them as I like. I do love the Earl Grey Tea, both kinds, and hope to get one in green tea. It is part to the health benefits, but feel that having to drink ten or twenty cups to get the desired results, I would be running to the bathroom all the time.

I do not like green tea when it has been steeped for five minutes, but I do love the other flavors, so am trying to find one that makes it taste better without having to add sugar.
