There are many people who are not highly educated, or even educated at all, that have managed to get a high salary. However, if you want to play with the chances, if you are educated it is always a lot easier to be successful. Educated people are able to make better choices for themselves and their career, they can judge things better, and of course they have a higher prestige which is important for many jobs.

I agree about your comment about luck. I think it's a combination of luck, smarts, and timing that plays a major factor in a person's success. I'm sure if many successful people had not met even one person that helped lead them to their success then their destiny could be very different.

I think there maybe a better chance for someone to have financial stability when one is well educated. It will help him go through the ins and outs of what he has to learn somehow in order to manage his money. I think someone who earns or wins the lottery even if these are worth millions and they would lose the huge amount of money because lack of edcation did not made them invest the moneyproperly... They squandered and thought they could live with interest that never came...

you are right education is required in various fields in order to become successful financially as well as socially but you have to except that certain people are rich and that's not because of education but that's because of their luck and destiny what ever you call it but it's there.

Education is just an instrument for financial independence. It has its contribution to it but it is not the sole factor in determining it. But I believe that those educated people are most likely to have good financial management skills because part of education thought them a thing or two about the thing called life.

I think that education can only take you so far. I think part of what makes a person rich is motivation, innovation, self-confidence, communication skills, and networking. If a person is motivated to achieve something, and dedicates their time to reaching that goal then they can do it in time, with or without education. Of course this often requires certain skills and know-how and that's where education comes in. There are plenty of people who may not take the traditional educational route, but that doesn't mean that they aren't learning what they need to in order to become successful. They may just be learning a different way. I think if people are innovative and creative with the skills that they have and they have marketable skills then they can become rich using them. Self confidence is a major factor in becoming successful. If you give off the air of being confident in your skills and abilities then you are more likely to get hired than someone who doesn't. At times people that are qualified for a job, but don't have the confidence won't get a job when someone who isn't qualified, but can charm the interviewer will get the job. I went on my first interview after graduating a few months ago. I graduated with a 3.6 GPA and honors, I learned about the job in advance, and it was something that I really was passionate about and wanted to do, but I was nervous on the interview, and I think I didn't get the job because I wasn't confident enough in myself. Which brings me to communication skills. If you are good at communicating with other people that can get you very far. People will get to see your personality and sometimes just being personable can get you a position because in any job you will have to communicate with different people (unless you are working over the internet). Because of this communication skills are very important. If you have good communication skills then it makes it easier for you to network with other people. This just means making connections with people who can help you further your career. Just making friends period can help you get a job, since many jobs hire people that current employees may recommend. You can make friends with that one person who can give you a leg up to get your career or business going, or they can refer you to the person that can do that for you. I don't think that education is always necessary for someone to become rich and successful, but it does help you develop the skills that become the tools to help you become rich and successful.

Hi there HDHORDA4, With regards to your topic discussion, generally, education plays a vital role in a person's life. Since this will be the initial capital that he/she needs to learn the basics of life. That, if the person does not have a background of education, he/she will somehow find it difficult to mixed him/herself towards others. As some factors of personality development somehow develops inside the school. In addition to the basics of life, you will learn to read and write as these factors are very important when putting and setting up a business of your own. As you need to learn this or else, you will be cheated by others if they know that you are not aware on how to read and write. To sum it all, generally, education do plays an important role however, as they say, in every general rule, there is always an exception. In life, you need not to follow all the general rule, hence, there are times, you should play under the exceptional. Besides, now a days, we should be practical and wise in every move and decision that we must do.

Not at all! This is like saying that religion makes people more favored by God! If anything education dulls people's minds into thinking that riches will come easy. Many rich and famous people are college drop outs, the developer of Facebook for example.

I actually do think that education is very important and getting that diploma is very important for most people. Why? Because without it, unless you are exceptionally talented and/or smart then the odds are that you won't get far. Some people who are born into money so it wouldn't be as important, I guess but that is a small amount of people. I have a good friend who did not graduate and she has gone on to own a very successful business and do very wwell for herself. Still it was a huge amount of work and long, gruelling hour to get to where she is. I asked her about this and even though she was a success story...she would not reccomend it. She really really worked and she missed a lot of family time and time with her kids as a result. I think that unless you are really gifted or lucky that at least a high school education is a must. As for college, well, I know a phd doesn't guarantee a successful job but a lot of places won't consider you without it. I guess it really depends on the line of work you are looking to get into.

i think education is a powerful tool to help your performance improve in many fields but i have seen many graduate people who are not getting that kind of jobs which they deserve to get and also i have seen that some people who are not that qualified are minting money easily i know that you gave a great example of your friend who really worked hard for getting successful but only education is not enough you have to have a desire to be successful and i m saying because i have experienced it myself anyways have a nice day.

It is the balance of skills and knowledge that makes a person rich. If you will go through the examples you mentioned then you will notice that either they had some skill to become successful. Moreover all the persons with same skills and knowledge will not earn the same amount of money. It also depends on a lot other factors.

Perhaps it would still depend on that person. There are some person who have all the wealth they need and a better life. They don't need to problem where they would get their money to finance their studies but they don't value the education because even if they failed or don't graduate still they would remain wealthy because they are born to be that way a wealth rich person. But there are some poor people who became rich and famous because of they have learn and because of the education they have.

Well Education gives more chances to earn. But as per me the main factor is luck. Just as you mentioned many non graduate people are already became so famous. So luck factor is an important thing too. I will not say education is not important because it is must and helps us in many other factors too not only in earning part.

This reminded me of our country's famous boxer, Manny Pacquiao. He came from a very poor family but his dream of becoming a boxing legend fueled him to go on with his life. He lacked education before but still he managed to pursue his dreams. And now that he's on top, he never forgets to study. From this determination, he also became one of our country's law-maker, a congressman who represents his province. So, I think gaining knowledge besides being successful will surely get you to a much better path. Money and fame runs out in time but knowledge will stay with you and its the most precious wealth one can ever have.

yes indeed my friend knowledge is power you are right.

If you want to be rich do not go to school, one writer wrote in his book. Riches many times will be measured of the numbers of your properties acquired, money in the bank, money circulated, and also the number of people who worked around you. But the real thing is not money my friend, it is the joy of contentment that count much. So education is vital and a very timely aid in making one rich. Rich in everything.

Education is not the main reason to become rich but atleast it will help. Imagine! If an uneducated person become rich, how much more the educated one. The main problem arise is, people who acquire or finish higher education pron to become lazy. They are contented with their salary and most of them don't have motivation to discover another thing. They are only dependent on their salary every month. The main reason why people become rich is hardworking and engage into business. Most of the rich people are good in running a business. Business is the key to become rich.
