Me, I have eaten fried insects called camaro when my family used to live in Pampanga. These insects likes to live live under fertile soils especially in farms so people there just use shovels and dig up to collect these edible insects. They look like grasshoppers but they have big claw like front arms used for burrowing and they are slow so very easy to catch. How about you?

That's just creepy. I could remember eating something similar. My uncle brought it one time and it were locusts deep fried. It was spicy, and it actually tasted nice. I also remember eating frog legs, birds that he hunted, snakes, rabbit and other exotic delicacies. But still, I don't think I could eat those for long term Have a great MyLot experience today!

I dont really eat them regularly. I was just a small kid then when our neighbors came and offered us the fried camaros. At first I was also grossed out, but when why cousin started munching on them then I tried it too. They taste good and crunchy too. They taste better if you deep them on vinegar. That's been like more than 10 years now. Oh well, perhaps when I visited Pampanga then I will drop by our old neighbor and see if they still cook those backyard insects .

i can't afford to eat those rare foods, my stomach will not accept that rare foods. I rather buy foods in the restaurant after all it is called DINNER, while the food cooked by my mother is called SUPPER.

Yeah mantis, I wonder why there's a difference in the terms used.

I think I can recommend Ginataang Palaka or frogs with coconut milk. It is not that rare but that food is very delicious. The frog tastes like chicken and the coconut milk will give it a more savory flavor. I haven't tasted any exotic foods though aside from that.

I have not tried eating such insect! I do not even think i could ever eat such! Here in my city we have "curacha" and i believe most of "curacha" are found here in Zamboanga.. am not really sure but most often when we have visitors from other cities they usually ask for that. It is from the family of crabs

The foods that i can recommend if ever a mylotter from other country will come and visit and wants to try our foods are the native delicacies. I want them to try our rice cake "puto" and suman, all those made of glutinous rice and flour. And also the famous halo-halo and our different noodles recipe like "pansit malabon, pansit palabok, pansit luglog" And maybe let them try the "pares" ...(actually i haven't tried eating it )hehehe.

I've tried wild boar. It doesn't taste good!hahahaha! It's chewy with a strong smell. I would NOT recommend it; but if you're the adventurous type, be my guest to try it out.

i have eaten frogs which are living in the rice fields during rainy days. they are capable of catching during night time. in terms of cooking,it is best suited to "ginataan". so delicious
