Blackberry desktop software, HUGE waste of space

I'm wondering if anyone feels the same way as me. I totally survived without actually installing any Blackberry "Desktop" and "Handheld" software. Sure, you can update the software on your phone with it, make a back-up of files, numbers, etc - but I never thought it was necessary. Finally because my phone is acting up I am forced to download the software to try to fix it. Seriously, between the desktop and handheld softwares - they take up over 300 MB of space and slow my computer WAY down!!!! It better be worth it.. Does anyone else think the Blackberry computer software is a total waste of space and time? Are you like me and survive without it????

When I first got my blackberry, I downloaded the desktop software. I remembered playing around with it, but after that day that I downloaded it, I don't remember ever using it again. I even forgot about it already, until I saw this post. So, yeah, I think it's a waste of space. And I've been able to survive without it! knock on wood!
