I always think that health is important than anything. But my recent medical check up show me that I might have cirrhosis( a disease that will affect liver and may cause cancer easily). Although the ultrasound test might not be accurate and I need a better scan test tomorrow to find out the truth, it really makes me think that what will happen if it really is the case. I might live in worry, and uncertainty for a while and also fear of the financial burden that I might have to go through. I personally don't quite worry about life and death problem since I believe that I will be in heaven because I have accepted Jesus as my Lord And Savior many years ago.The only problem I am worry about is my family and how do go on in the future while I am sill alive. Many plans may have to change if my health is not good enough to do so and I hope to work hard and prepare more money for my family after I won't be on this earth again. Questions like that always disturbing my mind and I am not sure if you have experience like this before. Perhaps you can share with me.How should we then live if we have disease? How can still enjoy our life?Share with me.

Cirrhosis of the liver is usually caused by excessive consumption of alchohol. If that is the case with you, then your illness is self inflicted.

I did say "usually". I may be being jugemental, but I have little sympathy for those people who abuse their bodies to to point of making themselves ill. The starter of this discussion is apparently not sure if it is indeed cirrhosis let alone what the cause might be. But as they have not as yet bothered to respond to any of the thread posts, until they do, we are not going to know these details.

If you're not in so much pain or discomfort that you can't function and don't want to live any more, then it's still possible to enjoy life. You have to learn not to spend all your time worrying about what you can't help. With me and back pain it helps to remind myself how much worse it could be...

I would say that you should do whatever you feel is right. If you feel good and feel like working a little more to make sure that your family has enough money for the medical bills and other things, then that is fine. I would not make work as much of a priority, though. I would make time with my family a priority. They will value that much more than any amount of money that you might be able to leave them if something should happen to you and you are not longer with them. I think that goes across the board ... family should be the priority over work whether you are sick or not. Unfortunately, many times work needs to come first to provide just the basics for our families. It is not until something bad happens that we realize that maybe we really didn't need quite as much as we thought we did and doing with a little less of material things would mean more time together as a family.

Just live your life to the fullest and enjoy every detail of it. I'm a diagnosed SLE patient. I was diagnosed 13 years ago. I never really think about my illness or disease. I just live my life like any other normal human being. Just stay happy and be strong. As much as possible try to spend more time with your family and friends.

I am sorry to hear that my friend. Just be healthy so your condition won't get worse. Just believe that you will heal. Just enjoy with your family because worrying too much might only worsen your condition. There are lot of things to be happy for and enjoy life. The best of that are your children. They also need you to stay happy. Just set it aside and be optimistic. It is not even cancer. Just be careful with everything and follow every doctors words. Get better soon under God's grace and be happy. Wishing you good health.

thats bad news, but if it turns out you have it, then hopefully your doctor can identify the cause, and that should stabilise the condition, as it is definitely not always caused by alchohol. a very healthy diet is the best thing really. as that is within your control.and a lot of fruits and vegetables are said to help the liver function better. that might be worth looking at. other than that i think you have to just be positive, and take care of yourself, and keep active, but not get too tired, as activity is very good for body.

Just remember to pray and believe in the power of god.Be thankful for your family and the people around you that love you.Just enjoy life and be thankful for all the days that you have.Don't think of your sickness as a burden but just a tool to make you stronger and to make your family stronger.
