Have you EVER done this...or at least thought about doing this?!?!

I was listening to the radio awhile ago and the djs that were on asked the listeners to call in if they had ever gone through someone else's bathroom medicine cabinets or if someone has gone through theirs. I personally would not do that because I don't want people going through mine. Not that I have anything too personal or anything to hide, but it's kind of awkward. Have I been curious thought about it? Sure, but I have NEVER acted on it. Someone had called in and said that people were always going through her medicine cabinet, although I'm not sure how she knew. She was having a party one night and had put marbles in her cabinet, so if someone opened the cabinet, the marbles would come tumbling out. Someone went into the bathroom and thought they were being sneaky. When they opened the cabinet, the marbles tumbled out and were not quiet. Oops! Busted! Do you know of people who are snoopers? Or are you a snooper? You can confess here...I won't tell anyone

I wouldn't, but maybe those who opened the cabinet were looking for something else and not necessarily scrutinizing the medicine. They could look for aspirin for a headache or other stuff, and did not want to bother the host(ess) who is having a great time outside. Looking through others' medicine won't cure the person snooping around unless he/she is hoping the host has the same kind of illness. Other than that, why bother? I suppose it must have been embarrassing in the situation you mentioned...Marbles...creative use I must say.

The marbles were a really creative way to booby trap someone. I think some people are just nosey and have to see what others have in their cabinets. They might not even need any medicine (or whatever), they just have to snoop. I think it would just be more respectful to ask the host(ess) to get whatever you need. Thanks for responding!

What you see in bathrooms can be quite amusing. I once found a tube of denture fixative lying next to the sink. Nobody in the house claimed it! Everyone suddenly had perfect natural teeth. Now what else would they use it for?

Hmmm, denture fixative?...that is a mystery. Maybe there is an at home remedy that denture fixative can treat. Who knows? So did you keep the fixative or throw it away? Thanks for sharing!

As far as I can remember I have never snooped thru someone's medicine cabinet. I do know there have been people in the past who have been known to go thru mine. Now I usually keep my Medications in my purse, and have had some stolen along with $$ from people as well. Problem is when you know one of the people that is doing it, and there is nothing that you can really do. (At least she is no longer around me.)

That is really sad that people have to steal from others, especially when it comes to money or medicine. I sometimes throw my meds in my purse, but my purse was rummaged through at a party last fall and money was taken. Luckily, I had taken my meds for the day, so I did not even have them with me. Sometimes it is best to disconnect some how or another with those people because who needs a thief in their life?

Nope, I'm definitely not a snooper when it comes to bathrooms. When it comes to other things, yes, I will snoop from time to time at my mother's house, but that is simply because I can. When it comes to other people's property, that is just not something that I can do. In fact, when my grandmother passed away and I was helping my mother go through her things, I even felt bad about going through her stuff then.

I am the same way at my Mom's. Everything is still in the same spots that they were when I grew up there, so I don't think I would find anything surprising, at least I hope not anyways. Thanks for sharing!

Oh my I have yet to date really snooped in anyone's cabinets and in fact I won't even dare open other refrigerators even when told it is okay. lol But I like that idea as I remember at times having dinner guests and the squeaky cabinet drawer sounds are clear as day. I think one day I might try the booby trap thingy too. LOL, good one!

I wish I could take credit for thinking of the idea. The booby trap would be a good laugh at one of your dinner parties. I want people to feel like they are at home at my place, so they can go through anything in the kitchen, not that they will find much. But the bathroom is a different story. I don't have anything to hide, but it's just kind of weird. Thanks for responding!

You'd have to wonder at the motive of someone going through someone else's medicine cabinet while visiting as a guest in their home...Nosiness? Looking for some antiperspirant or deodorant or air freshener? Painkillers? Some people seem prone to get headaches, and yet never seem to be prepared by actually having some medication along with them...I DO like the idea of the Marble booby trap, though!

I LOVE the booby trap idea! I'm sure the person was so embarrassed and probably walked out of the restroom with their head held down with their hands covering their face. I do understand the need for Ibuprofen or something, but why not just ask? I am all about the idea that my house is your house, but there is a fine line that shouldn't be crossed. Thanks for responding!

Pink powder on your brother? Hilarious! There's no way your brother could talk his way out of that one. Well, I have heard the term "only real men wear pink", so I guess if he wants to look at it that way... Thanks for sharing!

Hmm. I know it's a weird (and rather rude) habit to do, but yeah! I really do tend to get curious on other people's bathroom cabinets, but of course I never use what's in there that's applicable. And I'm not sneaky when I do. I just run my eyes through the contents, and close them eventually.

You wouldn't be so sneaky if the person set a marble booby trap. Have you ever seen anything interesting or unexpected?
