Just this morning I am beside a guy who's sleeping from the time he sit beside me at public jeepney. What I hate about is he's too sleepy that his head always fell near my shoulder and almost hit my face. I was sleeping too but I still manage to keep my head. He was constant in falling his head on me and I hate that and he's still so asleep. Do you have experiences on sleeping people inside public transportation like mine?

..Too bad for you. The thing is, why is he too sleepy when it is in the morning? Perhaps, he's sleepless because he came from somewhere?..Anyway,s I have experienced the same and it irritates me too because I cannot sit properly.

Working all day makes us tired and still sleepy in the morning, I do sleep to while transporting but still manage my self not to be so sleepy or I try to wake my self up. It annoys me so much .

I don't have any experiences with sleeping people inside a public transportation like yours. I always move away from them once I've noticed that they are very sleepy indeed. Better for me to transfer seat than to be annoyed.

Good for you, I hope there is a vacant space for me to move in, in my case, there is no vacant slot for me to transfer and I am in a hurry to transfer from another jeep.

I took an 8 hour trip going to the province through an aircon bus. I was sitting beside a man who said that he was an Engineer. After the lights went out to let the passengers sleep the guy slowly made a move to nod his head towards me. Then later it went further than that. I bump him with my elbow. It was not sufficient for his desire to take advantage of the situation that I decided to swap places with my mom when it was time to go down for stop over. I was laughing so hard when he look in disbelief and saw my Mom instead of me sitting beside him. Sometimes the person who does that is really sleepy and sometimes as in my case it is a matter of taking advantage of the situation.

Yes, I do experience that too although I also at times is like that. But whenever I am too sleepy I really try my best to get as far as possible to the one sitting beside me or I'll take the most stable position that I can do to sleep. Yes, those head bumps can really be irritating. Sometimes I become cruel to such sleep heads that whenever they land on my shoulder I try to make a collision for the sleep head to feel that I don't want him/her sleeping on my shoulder. But whenever I'm in an FX vehicle and my seatmate is a beautiful young lady, it is but just fine for her to sleep in my shoulders. Makes me feel more like a man pillow in there. Haha!

I know guys would be please if a pretty lady would do that. I even do little move to wake him up intentionally but there is no effect cause he keep coming back to sleeping. There is no other guy who can lay his head on my shoulder other than my man.

You had to seat next to him!? And he fell asleep on you? A complete stranger? I'm very paranoid so I never fall asleep on public transport and it's uncomfortable anyway. For me, falling asleep on public transport is kinda risky, especially if you're on a train at night where the gangsters are all hanging out from where I come from.

Yeah, we should also think that pick pockets are all around but he's lucky that I'm not like that. Besides he don't have any bag with him. I think he's with workmate or colleague on his right side. I move a little to wake him up but he still goes back to sleep whenever I awake him.

I have experience such. Once I was riding on a long trip in a bus and there was this guy who was sleeping. He was not near me but his snore has reached all over the bus. It was really annoying and almost all the passengers were annoyed. Luckily he disembarked halfway along my trip and most of us were relieved. Well, I too have sleep on some travels that I do, but I am not the type who snores and usually when I sleep during my ride, I cannot really sleep that well, often, I wake up from time to time.

Haha that really sounds annoying too! I wonder why this guy is unprofessional or don't have manners in public. We should be aware of what we do when we are in public places. I hope not to be in the same position again.

Yes, I had some experience like that. What I do is I move forward a little so he won't be able to fall on me. Just understand that there is a valid reason for his sleepiness.

Some men do it on purpose, especially if the girl is pretty . I happened to be in the same predicament where I slept and unconsciously rested my head on the shoulder of the lady seated beside me. I woke up when she slightly nudge her shoulder and I realized upon waking up that a woman's shoulder is softer and she smells nice too . But I was ashamed of what happened, although I slept again I made sure that my head won't fall to her shoulders again although I wish I could, bad me. There was also a time that a woman's head rested on my shoulder when she fell asleep but is was very quick but I liked the feeling, if only I could tell her that it's OK and she don't have to be conscious about and just pretend that I'm her pillow, but it never happened.

I would love to .I mean ,i would not feel offended if a hot girl leans on my shoulder .Please forgive my impudence because i have not dated any girls yet . Okay, jokes apart. I have seen lady-killers taking advantage of girls around them on bus .Sure, they are brazon and hypocritical .Yet, many ladies are too shy to shout out and criticize them . Actually , your shyness make the brazon more rampant . So my advice is that you should be brave and grasp the man offending you when you are taking advantage . In that way, can you halt the common phenomenons gradually .

I hope the next guy who would do such is a hot and cute guy . But it's very rare. Hot guys do not sleep like that, they are mostly well disciplined sadly those not so good looking guys do that. I've learned my lesson on doing the right thing when there is guy who's taking advantage.

You topic reminds me of the story of my roommate...Last time she went home by train, a guy sitting by her side. My roommate said she was disgusting and almost be driven to crazy when the guy go asleep and always lean to her side, even touched her shoulders, she can do nothing but always keep awake and wake the guy up when he lean over...At last she could not bear it any more so she stood up. I think it is really embarrassing to suffer such a situation, and me myself also suffer the familiar situation as well. Wish I will never meet guys like this!

I think she's a bit lucky cause she's in the train and can move away if she wants, while I can't move or go anywhere. The jeep is full and I see almost all the passengers are sleeping too so nobody perhaps saw my reaction and dilemma. I thank god that he's not stinky. Stinky people is also my pet peeve, I've had this experience in public transportation too that has foul smell, I can't figure it out if it's the guy sitting beside me or what. I just can't bear the smell and when my front row is vacant, I move over and ended my misery. That was nightmare!

Some people or I would say most people sleep inside public transportation. Its like their habit. During sleep people are unconciuos, so they are unaware of that where are their heads or hands. You shouldn't hate them. Its obviously bad habit but you should manage with it. If someone use my shoulder to sleep in transportation, I offer it.

I have experienced that too. And it is very annoying. But I can't sleep in public transportation even if I am very sleepy. I could hardly even sleep in a private vehicle.

Before I don't sleep while riding public transportation but since I had problems with my tummy, I forced myself to sleep to not feel my tummy aching. I just hope people will be mature enough not to make this stupid & annoying things.

I don't know why sleeping in public transport is so comfortable. When I was in car my father drive me home, I am asleep in the car and when I reach home I don't feel like getting up. And when I reach my room and my bed is just beside me, I don't feel sleepy anymore.

Hi laniekins! I have experienced that before. There are always people like that in jeepneys and in buses. What I do is I usually shift positions so the person sleeping beside me would wake up and realized that he or she is being disturbing me while he sleeps. Sometimes I would forward so when the person's head is falling, there would be nothing for his or head to fall on which would cause that person to suddenly jerk and wake up.

This has happened to me too when on journeys with public transport. I have tended to wake the person up though asking them not to use my shoulder as a pillow. To me there was no alternative, as I expect people to respect my space because it is not something that I would do. _Derek

I know my husband used to fall asleep on the train sometimes. I have seen people sleeping on the train, but I never sat next to someone on the train that was sleeping, but usually I am with my husband or my family so I am sitting nest to one of them and if they fall asleep and lay on me then that is fine with me. I don't think I would like a stranger doing it though.

Oh yes. Sometimes, i can sleep very well in an air-conditioned bus during long trips.:-) But just like you, I mange to keep my head straight and I see to it that my seatmate is not bothered. SO i understand people who sleeps in a public transportation :-) as long as they are not bothersome :-D

I, personally, never fall asleep in public transportation. However, I have been in the company of some who do. It gets really uncomfortable when they're right next to you, and their head keeps threatening to lean onto your shoulder. When that happens, I just try to gently shrug my shoulder to make them aware that they're somewhat intruding into my personal space.
