Love can kill?

Hello Lotters,
I remember making a discussion long ago about a woman killed the mistress for the love of the hubby, while the hubby regretted of what he did, taking care of the new born child, the wife is in Jail cleaning the floor.
There was a young man who hang himself because he didn't took it well when his GF broke up with him. another was a husband who threw himself from some floor to the ground because he discovered the wife having an affair with some one.
Finally, tonight A teen killed some one in the net cafe, then killed himself. simply, because of jealousy.
I can understand the hurting part though, but there is one thing that relates to all of these stories; They didn't love themselves first
except for the first paragraph, the rest are true stories.
I believe that their inability to move on is what killed them and it's love. Love is supposedly selfless.

I beg to disagree.
LOVE is not the culprit here.
Love never knows the word jealousy,envious,selfishness,greed,hatred and anger.
Love is divine and always understand.
It is the person's fault,blindly loving someone and never accept reality or refuse to admit realities in this life.
I know love can make us cry and give us pain...and it's up to us to think,accept and learn to understand that love is not a possession.

Hello Sis-Jaiho, I believe Love is not culprit and i agree but i never said such but people die or things get killed when they couldn't accept that love is gone. I believe jealousy is part of love when they fear loosing to some one else when the partner find some one new. well, if only cry in pain is the only that can help us forget the pain then we should do it. have a nice day

That is not love. That is jealousy, anger due to a resistance of what is. She did not kill the mistress because she loved him; she did it because she was jealous. She had this idea of what love was and when her lover didn't fit into that, she couldn't deal with it and did a horrible thing. Jealousy is not love. Love is not an emotion. This idea of "ever after" is really messing up our relationships.

this kind of love really create a lot of unexpected negative scenarios. in my opinion, it is more of the hurt and pain that have driven such acts. there are a few who really could not handle giving it all of themselves for love and then only to finding out being betrayed, love is lost, and revenge would prove not futile.

yeah i quite agree, but on the contrary, those looking for revenge seem to have an emotional imbalance causing an abnormal psychological behavior, which in cases like these tend towards the extreme. when love is lost and one can't accept that fact, then surely one should expect the unexpected.

Jesuschrist is the best demostration of love, he gave his life for love to us, a mother would give her blood, heart , or any organ of her lbody to safe the life a her kids.
But killing? no, no that is not love that is being selfish, that is thinkg just about you, meaning that the only person you care is you, and that is not love.
Love is kind, expect everything, is suffer, is giving you not wating but anything.

Maybe you are right for saying they didn't love their themselves first. They didn't think or they didn't care what will gonna happen to them if they did those things. I feel sorry for them. There are really many weak person. Maybe they were didn't guide well by their parents or guardians. And maybe they have lack in faith and belief in God. It's really saddening to heard those kind of stories.

You are right you have to love yourself before you can love others. It was not so much their love for the other person that killed them it was the lack of love for themselves. If they truly loved themselves they would be hurt then wipe their selves off then told them selves they could do better and eventually move on. That is what strong people do. People who have a good sense of self and self love. Everyone of us will be hurt in our life times by someone somehow, but is it worth wasting our lives or the life of someone else over? I don't think so, there are other fish in the sea.

it is a sad story that some people are really so emotional and i think "narrow minded" to end their life that way and for that reason. i know i have no right to judge them, because i am not on their shoes, but everybody experience pain, and heartaches, and some just don't survive. i think they need if someone have this intuition, they should be given serious attention and be brought to psychological medication. it is very sad that love can kill them, when it should give them life and motivation to move on with the battle.

In my opinion, we know in someways we agree that there is a part of us in our life that would certainly die when there is lost of love, a part of our heart die, the dreams will also die, the life can die because it will never be the same, and its all because of the love, but ofcourse its also its depends how we handle the situation and to the persons who are in that situation. I believe also that, why do we have break ups?Simply because, God is making you understand what love truly is. We learn and we became strong in order to face those challenges, and those challenges we can grow because if we cant grow, we cannot prosper, if we do not prosper, we die. People love because they want a reason to live.

I don't think love can kill...I just think there are people who can't accept reality...and don't love themselves very much! my grandson's girl friend is one of them she keeps telling him if he leaves her she will kill herself! and now he does not know what to do! it is a very bad situation indeed.

Hello Louie, If Love has been rejected or cheated then it will lead to hate. it's sad in this generation where emotions are too much focus on and not the act of love itself. crimes of passion is a nice term but i prefer to call it the passion of hate or revenge, it's a negative reaction for a bad situation involving love.

killing someone because of love is crazy. why do you have to insist yourself to someone who dont like you? i guess there is always a chance to get to know the person and be close to them and start being friends.... some people gets too obsess that to the point they are willing to hurt the one they love. if you love that person you will wish them happiness. if you love a person you want that person to be happy even if it hurts you. so this kind of things happens but its just plain stupid. just like you there is a part that i understand like the hurting but i dont get it why do they have to kill. love is supposedly giving and understanding... in that case that is no longer love it is obsession already. just my opinion.
