When you see such unique trees as these, what do you imagine or think about?

Unique trees on Dover Canyon Road in Paso Robles, - I saw these trees on a summer walk, and they seemed almost enchanted to me.

I love trees, but am especially intrigued by trees with odd shapes. It seems there ought to be a story inside them, somehow. When I saw these trees on a walk a few weeks ago, I almost thought I was walking through an enchanted forest and that some of the trees had been dancing at night and just frozen in place when the sun came up. What stories might you associate with any of the trees in this picture? If you were writing a book for children, what stories might you tell about how these trees got this way?

bagarad the gauzy one makes me think of a wood nymph caught in her tree form who can o nly come out on certain times. for children an enchanted forest where fairies once played until a wicked witch enchanted them and turned them into these twisty trees. they are waiting for the good witch to come with her spells and release them back to being fairies again.

I have similar thoughts. It seems to be an enchanted forest where the fairies will dance, and maybe the trees as well. Seems like there ought to be some Disney characters singing and dancing there.

On our way to the beach we pass through some dunes where pine trees grow. The wind and the salt have conspired to make the pines low and twisty. Some grow almost vertical to the round. I imagine a coven of witches plotting around a cauldron in every clearing.

I'd love to see a picture of that scene, although you've painted quite a word picture.
