Go shopping and buy nothing !!

Shopping mall - Find it all at the mall
Canada

I dont often have time to go shopping. I mean I do shop, but its usually run in, grab what I want and out the door in about 10 minutes. Last week, I could take a whole evening to go shopping and take my time to have a look around. I had a list of stuff I needed to buy. So many different things that the best place to do it all was Walmart's. So off I go. As soon as I set foot inside the store, I noticed that something wasnt right. Some aisles were blocked it looked like chaos or as if a storm had hit the place. Nothing was where it used to be and it looked like the whole middle section was blocked off by plastic curtains. I know they will be selling fresh produce very soon but never thought the store would be in such chaos in the meantime. So since I was there, I thought I might as well try to find what Im looking for. I didnt find ONE thing on my list!!! I must have spent 2 hours in the store, walking around, asking where I could find what I was looking for and not able to find it. I noticed that nearly everybody there was also looking. I finally decided to just go home As I was walking out the store, I noticed so many were leaving with NO bags......I guess I wasnt the only one who didnt buy anything Have you ever been shopping, wanting to buy things and end up not buying anything at all? Do you feel like you've wasted your time or do you look at it like a "night out"?? lol. Just so you know, the next day I went to the mall and found everything I was looking for

I find it frustrating if I go shopping and can't find what I set out for - I don't really like shopping, so I prefer to get it done and over with. Once in awhile it's okay because it's not a big deal, but if this happened a lot I would switch stores.

Im the same, I hate shopping to begin with, so having to look around and not find what I need is frustrating. I did manage to find what I was looking for but at a much higher price because I needed it in a certain color. But my shopping is all done now until xmas ......phew!!

I have done this and accept for the frustration if i don't find what I want it's just best to turn around and go home. Usually it's new cloths that I need for a special event. I really hate to buy cloths, but I love to wear something new. That's strange, I know.

yes. I have experienced that. I was looking for a nice underwear in a department store. But to my disappointment, they show me a design that looks like an underwear for oldies. So I refused to buy and decided to buy an umbrella instead, but the umbrella looks like low quality. I went downstairs to see if there is something I can eat but nothing too. That's horrible kind of shopping. Since, I did not go back to that store.

Im sorry they didnt have what you were looking for. Then companies wonder why they're losing customers. I know it wont do any good to complain. Im the same, I wont go back. Im done with shopping until xmas

I think I have been through that before. I have gone to some places and planned to buy something I needed, but I ended up I didn't buy anything at all, I mean, not because I am a comparison shopper, the aisles of some stores do change. Like going to target, I walk around the store for like three hours without buying anything. I usually shop for books and cloths. Shopping for cloths can take me two to three hours. Well, perhaps it is better if you just go to the mall. But if it it less crowd, the better.

Oh it bothers me when stores are in a disarray like this, all because they are having to do a remodel as in expanding their store and such, and it does make it quite hard to be able to get the things you are wanting as well. I have gone shopping before and left empty handed because I could not find the item I was looking for. But for you to have spent over 2 hrs. looking that would frustrate me for sure. Hopefully this was something short lived as well.

Oh man this sounds like THE most frustating thing EVER! I don't know that I've ever left a store without actually buying something...As I tend to "overbuy" (that's putting it lightly). I may not find or buy what I need, but I certainly always seem to justify buying SOMETHING or other.... Agh!

Haha, sounds like you're a happy shopper then. Well I think you wouldnt have found one thing to buy at my Walmart on that evening!! You couldnt access a big part of the store as it was closed off and what was left, well the shelves were nearly all empty. Guess they didnt place orders while they're changing everything to include fresh produce now. I havent heard when its going to be the "official" opening so I guess I wont go there until then.

I actually went to Oldnavy this weekend hoping to find some long sleeve shirts for my boyfriend as we are going up North this Holiday season and i wanted to see if anything was out yet but i guess i was wrong. Well i wasnt totally wrongbut the shirts i did see were around 30 dollars and im not spending that much on a t shirt and really i only need plain t shirts to go over other shirts and then a jacket of course. Well then i walked into TJ maxx hoping to find somethings as they did also have some long sleeve t shirtgs but then again none in his size as like i was having trouble that day getting stuff for him. I walked into two stores and walked out with nothing. I was disappointed but then again it is still hot here in Florida and going to be hard to find the winter clothes that i do need.

I guess you dont find much "warm" clothes in Florida!! Maybe you can buy it all once you're up North?? I dont know if you're talking about Vermont, but I know they have lovely clothes there. So that might be a solution and it would be fun to shop there too dont you think?

I really don't go shopping a lot if it is not necessary and i also hate walking around looking for things that i know was there before. Moving stuff from a department store or supermarket is really very irritating. So i just call a local store and have my stuff delivered to our flat.

Im like you, I hate it too. We dont have delivery here unfortunately. The only way I could get it delivered to my house is if I buy it on the internet. You're lucky you can call and have it delivered!

That also happened to me shopping without buying. Well I just consider it as a night or day out and I just laugh it out.

I did laugh it out too. My sister said it was too bad since I nearly never take some time to go shopping but hey....we both save money that way, right?
