do you agree or disagree to a BBC report that said that melting chocolate in your mouth produced an increase in the brains activity and heart rate that is more intense than that associated with passionate kissing and that it lasts four times longer after the activity has ended?

Could it be this is why we have cravings for chocolate? Chocolate has also been known to ease pain or so I have read. But to substitute chocolate for a passionate kiss just seems strange.

remember when you were a little kid and your mom would kiss away the pain when you hurt your finger or your knee while playing? eating chocolate can also do that ..it gives a feeling of ultimate high almost comparable to the feeling of happiness from kissing the one we love.

its good news that you keep lots of chocolate in your home because its good for your heart most especially the dark chocolates. don't eat too much of the caramelized sweets or candies because it can cause an increase in your sugar level and could lead to diabetes and it does not give you that intense feeling of well being that only a kiss and eating chocolate can provide!!!

I try not to keep much chocolate around or I eat too much of it. Other sweets don't have that kind of power over me.

Oh,i haven't heard about that. But i didn't notice anything in particular, when i am eating chocolate. What i do notice though, is i couldn't get enough of the chocolate i am eating until i totally consumed the whole bar.

but have you tried just allowing the chocolate to melt in your mouth and not chewing on it and before swallowing? maybe this is how to get this exciting result? have you tried doing it this way?

Hi, mammots. Welcome to myLot! I don't know if I know agree with this statement. I just can't see chocolate being so intense than passionate kissing though. Melted chocolate does have a sensational effect when it is melted into the mouth. I have noticed this.

Personally I don't agree with that but I also have to admit that I seldom long for chocolate and don't get that kick out of it that (many?) people seem to get and that should be the same feeling as when you are in love.
