I am so happy that I got some great news today at work. I have been there for just over a year and they are creating me a management position because they are so impressed with my work! I love this job and the company I work for and am thrilled that they are so happy with me. I work hard every day and go above and beyond without having to be asked. How about your company, are you rewarded for your hard work?

Congratulation on your promotion! I'm sure they did the right choice to promote you :D I'm working for my company for 5 years already and they have me promotion 2 times. First was after my one year stay here. The another one a year after. After those promotion, no promotion or increase. The last increase that I had was way back in 2009 I think? It's sad to think about it since we work real hard but the company just doesn't see it. Honestly speaking, if I don't love my boss, my friends' circle inside the office and my team, I would've left my company a long time ago :(

It is hard when you hit a ceiling. It is great that you like the atmosphere and the people though, sometimes that is worth more than a raise :) What kind of work do you do?

Congratulations! It's great when other people see the potential in you, and then go ahead and promote you to a position that you deserve! My last promotion was over 7 years ago (imagine that)! I was working for the same company I am working for now. I was on the floor, and my supervisor saw my potentials and moved me into the office. I've since then left this company, and worked for another for about 5 years. I just came back this year.

I was a big fish in a small pond when I left. I tried it out on the big pond for a while. I was getting tired of the commute when the old job came calling. Now I'm two minutes away from home. I'm happy that I get to go home for lunches!

Oh that is excellent to be able to go home like that! How nice... I was commuting 45 minutes each side of the day for a few years. I found my job and it is 15 minutes. Just enough time to unwind at the end of the day. So you don't have to pack your lunches? awesome!!!

Thank you! It is nice to have people put faith in your abilities. I am grateful that they are willing to give me a chance to put my true skills into the company. I know this will be the last promotion for now as the next step would be general manager of the company. It is a small company and growth potential is pretty slim. The position they created me is a great opportunity and I am so thankful to have the chance to really make a name for myself. What made you go back to the first job? Are you happy to be back?

Congratulations! That is awesome for you! I tend to try for a promotion about every 3 years. The higher you get in the company the harder it is to move up since there are fewer jobs in each category above yours, lol, but I keep trying!

That is so true, sometimes you just hit a ceiling. I hope to continue to be appreciated and and as long as that happens, I will be happy. What do you do for work?

First of all I would like to congratulate you for a job well done and promotion. It's happy to know that there are still company who value their employee like that. Sad to say that in my country, it only happened to big companies and there are large amount of company who doesn't give back to their employee. I can say that I am not rewarded right for my hard work, I am even underpaid. The boss said that we need to understand the situation of the company, small and starting but as I've seen our profit, it can give us a much higher salary :(.

I am from Philippines, actually I have the best boss ever compare to my previous boss but the problem is since the company is so small and more than 2 years old, we cannot have the right salary and benefits for us. I guess my boss too frugal enough to give us the salary we deserves, we are just complaining cause he use our full force at work with giving us benefits. We waited for 2 years to have a salary review and adjustment contrary to what he said when we started, the salary will be review and adjust in a few months. Honestly, we can have more than what we are earning in our position in other companies.

Thank you! That is sad about your company. How difficult it must be to go to work every day and know that you are not appreciated. I hope your situation improves. Where are you from?

Are you able to negotiate when salary review happens? It is hard in the first few years of business to make a profit, but hopefully the owners are generous to you and pay you as appropriate to your work.

Congratulations, Jodylee. I'm happy for you. It's really very overwhelming especially when you know that you are being appreciated. Anyway, continue to strive and do your best on your job. As for me, I'm the daughter of a construction firm owner. Sadly, I don't have to work hard to have my position as it is a default. God bless and take care always. Don't forget to thank the One above who gave you blessings.

Sounds like a good deal for you! Good for you for earning the position, that must be difficult at times to stay motivated. I am most grateful for all the gifts in my life :) I love to work hard and I love to make a difference in everything I do, it is so wonderful to be appreciated!
