I wonder when i saw that Mumbai beat Chennai super kings by a ball and with 3 wickets. Still i can't believe myself!!!! I think its Mallinga's life time achievement. Fantastic batting shown from him and a bit of partnership from Bhajji. What do you think is this the bad luck of Dhoni's or Luck of Mallinga.

When Sri Lanka went to Australia, Malinga played a very good innings and ended up with a half century. So I think it is just not luck or bad luck, Malinga can bat really well at times! Happy Mylotting!

Hmm!Is it!!! i don't know when and where he made half century but after watching his very good innings against CSK he could have done before with the others team too. He never hesitated to hit boundary and out of the boundary too.

This is the match http://www.espncricinfo.com/ci/engine/match/446957.html Malinga scored 56 and Mathews 77 not out. Due to this partnership Sri Lanka won the game against Australia! So Malinga's contribution was crucial in this match.

I think it was a bit of both. When Malinga was batting the CSK bowlers were bowling right up to him instead of working him up with some short stuff. They lost the plot at that moment and MI seized the initiative and won the match. Cheers! Ram

I completely agree that missed stumping changed the match. Also it was not such a difficult stumping chance either. So Dhoni should really have nailed Malinga. Cheers! Ram

Hai Ram, don't you feel that Mallinga's missed Stumping by Dhoni made a big dramatic change int he final result of the match? After Pollard's exit i didn't watch the match but later i heard from my friend that MI won the match!!! i couldn't believe it. When i saw Highlights then i came to know that MI won Confertably.

I think Lot of credit needs to be given to Malinga for his superb batting as he is primarily a bowler. Two of sixes Malinga hit of the spinner was to his credit. Malinga showed good footwork and wonderful timing, he also displayed cool head under pressure. And yes, though Dhoni could have stumped him once, but you do need a luck or two at times. I think considering Mumbai's understrength team and poor batting display till Malinga showed his batting prowess, match was till then firmly in Chennai grasp. But Malinga's great knock turned the match into a thriller and helped upset the defending champs.

Dear Friend Banta78, I like your Statement and the way that you have replied to the discussion. I think on that moment CSK bowlers made mistake by giving front put balls rather than giving short balls. If they could have bowled short balls then surely Mallinga could have tried to hit six and he could have get caught easily. But any way it is a game and he shown his best performance.

ya Mallinga played well. his performance with the bat was superb. he simply turned the game towards Mumbai. surely Dhoni is running in a bad time, Dhoni is unlucky for now.

Yes Venkit, it is a unbelievable innings played by Lasith Mallinga. After the Pollard's exit even Commitator told that its the end of the Mumbai's fight. But Mallinga made it reverse and he fought back and gave victory to the Mumbai Indians.

It seems that Dhoni is having bad time still. But Mallinga played a really good innings. We know him as a quick bowler. But yesterday he showed his batting talent also. So,its a plus point for Mumbai Indians to have a good batsmen at the end.

Yes friend Mallinga played a great innings against CSK day before yesterday. I have seen so many matches under Dhoni's Captaincy. Even if the opposite team requires 12 run from 12 balls then he will use his talent in choosing a best bowler on that situation and he will give a good result at the end but now its not happening. I don't think that Dhoni came out of his Bad Luck.
