Okay, that is one question concern me when somebody brought it. Some people said that landline would be much easier for police to locate where you are, somehow if you are in danger, or you are semi - conscious, and you can't speak on the phone. For a cell phone, it won't be that easy to know where you are. Would you agree with this statement? I knew most people already get rid of their landline service since it wasn't worth the charge of approximately $30 to $40, and you merely use it couple of times per month. What about mobile triangulation, would it be stable? When you need to call the police, emergency line, would the cell phone can be correctly indicate your location?

Yes they can, especially if you have a smart phone.

I think so in most cases. They can track it by tower signal, I think.

Well, I don't know about all phones, but my phone is capable of letting the police know where I'm at if I call. I have a GPS function on my phone so that I can be located no matter where I am. It's an LG phone, and my daughter and hubby got it for me. Being a sr citizen, they were worried that I might fall, or have my legs 'give out' on me again, so this was their answer. The GPS locator can be on or off. I keep mine on so that if I do have a problem outside (or even in the house if I fall down) I can be found whenever I dial 911. I think it depends on what features the phone has. I don't think it's as traceable if it doesn't have the gps on it, but not positive.

Yeah they can. GSM tracking is really easy. It's just a software that reads through your cellphone signal. Just like tracing a landline call, the signal that's being sent by your phone can be located. They can see your location by identifying the tower that you are using. Th towers are the infrastructures responsible for providing signal to your mobile phone

Police can easily locate where you are and what is your location right now. Police can detect your location on the basis of your latest activity done by you on your cellphone whether it's a call or msg.Police do not locate the accurate position of yours, police set a area where possibility of your is most prominent.
