yes I think there are all addicts in this house. We are all addicts of the internet. Especially games on pogo club. We have 3 people in this house out of 4 people that have pogo club accounts! would you believe? 3 computers running most of the time on the net. good thing we have cox bundle right? lol. We are often sharing videos, links, and playing games together on pogo to. lol! can you believe that? often its quiet and all you hear coming from our individual rooms are the click, click of the key boards. Are there a lot of addicts in your house? lol!!

I am addicted to the internet also. Have been for many years. I never have had an account on Pogo although I play there sometimes. I usually take my breaks on Facebook and enjoy several of the games there. I have a grandson who wants to get on the net. Need to get him a router first.

I am the one that puts the info in. Password and username that is. Then he plays game. None of which he talks to anyone. When that time comes we will have to set down some rules. It is scarey. Thanks for your concern.

In my family, each person has their own hobby and addiction. And it is only me who got addiction with the internet.. When we are all in each other's addiction, it seems that we all live in the different world.. :P No talk, no communication, everyone got focused..

There is only one person who became addicted to this house because of the fact of games too. She does not play pogo but other types of games. After realizing what she has missed out in, she in now learning to drive and has a internship. I guess those two things will let her be more outgoing.

I do not know.. I do not know who many hours you have to be on the internet before they declare you an internet addict. I have the computer on all the time, but when I do not want it all I had to do is to close the lid and I am certainly not going to run to the other room and turn off the internet to prove that I am not. Oh yes and the internet does go off, but then I will use my laptop to write on my book. So does that mean instead of internet addiction, I am computer addicted? And I certainly am not going to write long hand to prove that KI am not. Yes I do think that the word addiction is being overused.

I do think the word addicted is a bit overused. It is getting that people are afraid of getting on the internet, turing on the tv, because they are considered addicted. Why my late husband suggested that since I was on the computer so long, that I should give it up for a month. He sort of changed his mind when we were on vacation and there was no computer where we were and when we came home, there were all those 10000 of spam mails.

Oh yeah! There's one desk top, 2 laptops, an ipad, 2 smartphones, and sometimes the DSi also running on the net. Everybody in the house are usually up to something. When my kids cross a line, losing internet priviledges is even an effective tool to keep them back in line.

so you punish them by taking away internet. my mom took away tv and so did i. so i can see the wisdom in that.

It must be awesome to live with other people who have the same online interests as you! I bet it also goes for a good conversation starter in real life. My cousins live in the same house...Room even!...And they play a lot of Facebook games together. I think it'd be cool to play with someone whose right in front of you. I may be way into technology, but I think it sounds awesome!

thanks. it is when you have to get a challenge for a badge and you dont want to play with people that are mean about it. and sometimes theres games you have trouble playing to get the challenge and it helps to have someone trade wins with you to get theirs also. even tho some look at it as cheating. i just like to get my challenge books filled.

Getting addicted is quite easy and to come out of it is really a difficult part for each and every individual in this world. I had just one bad habit of having soft drinks during my college days which was not controllable and now i am out of it and quite happy to have avoided by my own help

I don't think that I am addicted to the internet, but I am dependant on it because I earn my money online, and have done for almost four years now. I could live without the internet if I wanted to, but obviously that thought just isn't practical simply because of the fact that I am earning here. My family are addicted, though. They will spend a lot of time online playing games or just looking at jokes on websites. I am all for having a good time, but when it starts to take over your life, you just know that something has to be done about it.

My house is full of addicts too. There is always some kind of internet connection on...my daughter's Ipod and the other does Xbox live. There is a desktop downstairs that my b/f has going all the time and then there is my lap top...which has actually had a bit of a break the past few weeks. The good thing about the wifi is that we can all do what we do while we are with each other

Yeah, we have the addiction thing going on over here too. For me it's trying to make a few bucks online, coupled with a few games (mainly hidden object). My daughter is a youtube, netflix addict. When she gets out of the bed in the morning she goes straight to the pc. I have to stop her from getting on at all during the school week because she cannot concentrate on anything else (like homework) and she gets to bed too late. My husband does not get online at all, but he will entice my daughter to put on a netflix movie from time to time.

funny you should mention netflix. my son had a bit of addiction to that when i had it. i had to let it go though for 2 reasons. they never had what everybody was watching new for 4 or 5 months after it was out. then they changed getting streaming tv episodes and older movies on your tv and 1 disc in the mail at a time to 7.bucks for each which would bring it up to 15 a month for both. thats just not fair. so i dropped them.

Well, though I think that my children might be on their way to becoming addicts to the internet, right now I am the only one that has a full blown addiction to the internet. I do all kinds of things on the internet like playing on winster, writing articles, messing around on facebook and also spending time here on mylot and working on my scrapbooks. I only really developed this problem after I started staying at home with the kids.

LOL! Oh my! Thanks for this discussion because I realized that we here in our home aren't alone! Lol! I and my husband are addicted to internet as well. We can last the day without talking a lot because we're too focused with our own laptops. We both own one each and so the house is a very quiet place when we're on our laptop addiction again. Haha! We're not addicted to games though, but to internet and my husband to watching movies and reading cartoons online.

not only at our home but there are many addicts in different ways. some people are addicted to some social sites always, some are with coffee, tea, some are with smoking, drinking etc.. we need to take care of rightly and keep them in control.

Fortunately i am the only addict in house. Addict to online games and blogging. Long before me and nephew were addict of Defense of the Ancients (DOTA) it was so addicting game. The aim of the game is to defend your frozen throne from your rivals or other tribe. Sadly, now I cannot play the DOTA anyone because of my busy schedules. I really miss the game, some say that there's a lot of changelogs in the game. I wonder how can I cope up with that.

wow thats really bad, how do u guys pay the bills there? lol I dont know the game u all play and I dont think I want to play it. Do u all run to the toilet at the same time or try and hold it till the last minute lol. Addicts in my home, well we are tea drinkers and we watch tv and some are on cellphone, as for the net I would say I am, because im on here all the time unless when im away from home I dont miss it. I think with me its because its here, and plus I have a business to look after, a website etc stuff. So yeah im proud to say im half addicted to internet.

i guess you could say it costs a little less if you have whats called a "bundle" with cox our cable company. we get cable tv, internet, and phone from the same company so its a bit discounted. the biggest bill is our individual club charge from pogo games. but thats up to each if they want it. its 40 bucks a year per member ship but i feel its worth it and i guess the others here do to. its my one luxury.
