Pages and stuff.

I'm thinking of starting up Facebook again to promote some of my work and art. Do you think I should just do it through my personal Facebook account or should I make those pages? Do you 'like' a lot of pages or do you just rather 'friends' companies, etc.? How is it convenient for you?

I just have one page. I think if I had a business I would do seperate pages. One would be my profile and expaining my business and art interests and then might give the links or whatever. I love Facebook and am on it as much as I am working on Mylot. It is all I need.

You could do that either way. But if you want to keep your personal FaceBook page personal, then start up another page just for your work. Lots of people do it and lots of people make money like that. Good luck on your venture.

Well it matters what you want to do with it. If you just want your friends to see it then yeah just use your personal page if not and you want to reach many people it is very easy to start a page. I have one for my Avon stuff and I didn't have many followers until I did a two day add. I now have over four hundred followers and have had three sales directly form this ( I only did the add two days ago). I am thinking I will do an add once a month or so as I am pretty broke but if it brings in customers great. I am also posting at least twice a day links to items on sale to help keep the interest. Good luck!

If you use your personal one then I would suggest you create pages and slowly add your friends as suggestions so they can add themselves on it. Simply because of the Facebook restrictions you do not want to add way too many in one sitting. You can also do like I have and create a second one, for business only purposes. then you can invite your friends and or friends of friends as well. I like to keep family friending off my business one and only create pages where they can like and or be added to instead of seeing all the silly posts mixed in during the business promoting. If you decide to add the second one, just do so with a separate email address.

Hi Lore2009! Why not make a Tumblr or deviantart account? It's more convenient for artists to post their creations there as these sites are more art friendly. :) Try it.

Why don't your try opening up a new account and creating that one as a business account. Having a personal account would promote more business

I think it's easier as far as adding friends and stuff, to simply add promotional links to your personal acct rather than having several different accts to keep track of. I hate adding folks and then having to re-add them for each page I have. But you are saying that you are starting up facebook again, so perhaps this isn't even an issue for you. I often add links to my writings and photos right on my fb wall so all of my friends can see them. For me, that's the most convenient set up.
