Mostly harmless. It is recognised now as a group of religions with multiple Gods and often the chief being a Goddess. Lots of ritual, lots of fun, lots of NewAge sewage, and some very genuine, gifted people. Nothing to be creeped out by. It is only when scumbags with no real connection to paganism use its trappings to do their harm that it gets a bad name. Lash

I have noticed that a lot of Pagans (I was heavily involved for several years) have very intense eyes, myself included. Maybe that's what they meant. Lash

If I were you, I would feel offended, but then again I would pay no mind to her and just get out of there. I'm a Christian and paganism is not a good thing. In fact, it's the number one rule we must not break. I think paganism originated from Christianity view about God (the first in ten commandments from Moses given by God). So, at least Christian, Islam, and Jews have the same view about this.

Paganism is not a bad thing. If Christians have such a huge problem with Pagans, then I think they should probably stop using their calendar. Christians used to burn Pagans at the stake, but Paganism is bad? I am betting machivado that you do not actually know much about what Paganism actually is, do you? @cormiera Christianity is not really that old as far as religions go. I don't know why you think that all religions came from it.

Paganism existed long before the religions of the Bible. Neo-Pagans might well overtake Christianity in the times to c0ome, it is a very attractive religion. Lash

I really don't know for sure but when I hear the word pagan, what immediately come into mind are people who do not believe in God or any other god. I also visualize black magic, and voodoo, and fortune telling, witchcraft, new age, crystal balls....those sort of stuffs. But I am not fully informed of what they really are and what they do.

They don't believe in the Christian God, but they do believe in Gods. Unlike secular humanists like me (I am also a 3rd degree witch although no longer involved with the Craft) who don't believe in the Christian God, or any other God. Lash

Yeah, I may not have my facts straight. Sorry. In my side of the planet, before the Spaniards came, Philippines was inhabited by native people, or tribes. The Spaniards christianized them but those who weren't converted remained to be "pagans". So that's how I understand it in our own place. I believe there's a particular kind of pagan that cormiera is pertaining to.

Don't let it worry you. There are a lot of nice Pagans! They are just deeply connected to the Earth and Nature. Blessings!

It really depends if you are open minded about things. Well paganism means worshiping many things or gods like the Greeks mythology. So if you think your into that stuff and can handle it then go ahead. I mean there's no dark rituals involved, or wierd sacrifices, you just choose what you believe in.
