When I flew home from Kenya the plane stopped to refuel in Egypt. Before this I got a superb view of the pyramids. Wow! Last night on TV I saw a program about shark attacks in Egypt by the beaches that are on the Red Sea. I was shocked that the beaches were not closed as soon as the first person got badly injured by a shark. More than five people were badly injured by sharks. One German lady died as a result of her severe injures. The people were interviewed and most of them were put off swimming or snorkeling in the sea. Would you like to visit Egypt? Why do you think the shark attacks happened?

That sounds amazing as I remember flying over Dubai coming in to land in Qatar and seeing 'The Palm' which looked stunning from above! I would love to visit Egypt one day to see the pyramids and tombs but, for a beach holiday I would rather snorkel or dive in somewhere like the Bahamas or Maldives. I think it is a shame they didn't close the beach as that would have saved more people from getting hurt.

Personally, I don't like going to very warm countries. But I would make Egypt an exception. I think there are a few things that would be great to experience in Egypt. Seeing the pyramids in person would be something off a bucket list. Maybe when I could afford it...

Egypt is a nice place and ancient place to visit . the fact that there was a shark attack does not mean it has become a forbidden tourist attraction country. You just have to know what is happening in a country , read the security situation and the tourist situation of that country and then take precaution.

I went to Egypt by myself when I was 19. I had free tickets from Egypt air and free tickets on Alitalia, where I worked. I did not get a chance to go to the sea but did have a good time. I would not recommend this as a place to travel by yourself though.

Are you kidding me? I breath, live Egypt I hope I can someday to Egypt and visit the pyramids. I am sorry to hear about the shark attacks. The authorities should have done something about it, they are not showing a proper sense of responsibility to this people. I guess they just want the tourist and they don't care about their safety.
