I have taken a holiday from Office today and have decided to spend the day clearing up my hotmail account. Have put the search option for mylot emails and am either responding to those emails or deleting the ones that I do not want to respond to. Hope to clear out a few hundred emails today because I have just too many notifications pending in my inbox. Have you spent time clearing off your inbox??

I had not had the time for a few months when I switched jobs so the pile has become too big and it is taking me a longer time to clean up that I had thought. Trying to do as much as possible till tomorrow before I resume work on Monday.

i have kept my hotmail account only for notifications from various sites. For rest of the communications with friends and family it has been gmail.

Hi there.. I too have to do this once a week.. Can't do it on my phone.. I've reserved my phone only for myLot. I check e mails only in a cyber cafe.. But cleaning my Inbox is certainly a task... I've 500 e mails to check in my Yahoo account, at this point.. Half of them are Spam, I'm sure. Half are from myLot and FB. Will start on it tonight. Thanks for reminding me...

I have disconnected the internet connection from my mobile now. And besides I could not log into mylot from my phone. I have access to the internet both from my office as well as my laptop at home now. So I think I should be able to clear my inbox soon.

I have a separate e-mail for mylot and my social network accounts. That way I do not have to clean it up regularly. Since the mailbox that I use does not have a limit, I clean up quarterly. Cheers

I too have a seperate email for mylot and notifications from other sites. I have not cleared this account for a couple of years I think. Just been answering whatever notifications I wanted to and the rest are just piling there. My mailbox too does not have a limit but I felt it is time I deleted all the unwanted emails so that I do not miss any important mails in the bargain.

I haven't spent a nice amount of time clearing out my inbox but I surely should because I have so much unnecessary junk and spam compacted in my main account! Have the emails I've received have been from fake networks and people, possibly frauds! I've also gotten several scam mailings too which haven't necessarily been deleted yet. One day, probably because I'm now on my Thanksgiving break, I will separate the useful and the useless emails. Then I will unsubscribe from all those fake listings and attempt to block annoying contacts and disband my receiving of boring newsletters.

I have these last couple of days unsubscribed to a lot of fake listings and have blocked a lot of mails. So my inbox will be less full from today. And have responded to a lot of mylot notifications too. Am on a break from office for these last four days and have to complete as much as I can before I join work on Monday.

in my gmail i.d. around 12000 mail is shown in inbox and i didnot have a time to open that because when you are searching a net jobs you have registered your email i.d. in many sites and the reason some many mail come to you to join their site and you have no time to read all mail or respond to that mail...

When I want to work on the mylot site I just put in a search option for all mylot emails and then start reading one by one. This way I do not waste time reading all the unwanted emails. That can wait for some other day. Yes it is not possible to read all the emails but at sometime they will all be attended to.

Sometimes we just do not get a chance to look into our inbox for many days. These are the times when the mails start piling up. I lost about six months inbetween when I switched jobs and that was the time when my inbox got so full that I am still unable to keep it updated.

I use an email box just for mylot, no one else has that email address, so all the emails I get in that one is from mylot. I was away from the site for a few months, about 6 months, and in that time I had over 6000 emails in my inbox when I went into it. I deleted all the emails that weren't the mylot digests. There was no way I could go through them all, I'd still be at it and I have been back for about 3 months now. So now I am responding to the mylot digest discussions and some of the newer discussions. After I deleted everything but the mylot digests I still had over 400 emails and after being back for the last 3 months and working on them I am now down to... 284. I guess that is still a lot but then every day I get another one from mylot. At least I won't have any discussions to run out of to respond to. The mylot digest discussions are easier to respond to as well...that is how they made it on the list, they got the most responses on new discussions that day...as they are pretty general so they are easy to respond to. Good luck my friend and happy mylotting Chris

Mine too got piled up because I was not able to access the internet very often when I changed my job. I have got nearly 8000 unread mails in my inbox. This account is actually only for my online work. For communication with friends and relatives I use another email id. I did not want to delete the discussions because sometimes we then miss some interesting discussions. Have deleted quite a few today and responded to many.

Oh my, with that many it is impossible to read them all. And you have more coming in every day from mylot so it would take you a life time to catch up if you read every one of them.

hi mayka I have several email accounts and one specially for only mylot notifications and oh mny g I have 325 notifications as I am so far behind. when mylot was shut down for the first few days of November I got behind and am still behind as of now. So have to do that now and will probably be deleting some as I cannot do a zillion in one day no matter how long I stay on mylot.I can clear out all cricket and hockey and foot ball discussions, and poligtical ones an overly religious ones too.that still leaves me with a lot to respond too but I will get there yet. from hatley.

My hotmail account is mainly for notifications from mylot and Associated contents. When I changed my job I was unable to check my emails for a couple of months and that was the time when the emails started piling up. They are still piled and now am trying to clear as much as possible. An unachievable feat as of now though.

I had to take a little time away and yes...my inbox was crazy full. I never thought I would get caught back up. I would try to do a little at a time but I think that I probably still missed a lot. There can be a ton of notifications if you don't keep up with them though. I have all of mine going to my house. We aren't supposed to use the company computer for private stuff.

My inbox is also the same. We are allowed to access our personal emails in office so I have managed doing quite a lot of mylotting from office. Have a computer now at home and now spend more of in internet time at home.

I pretty much keep up with my account. the only notifications I recieve from mylot is when I recieve a best response and a notification from mylot if there has been a discussion or response deleted. I try to do everything else on mylot. If I kept all the notifications on I would never be able to see my regular mail. Hope you get through yours. Have a wonderful day

I hardly go through everything on mylot because I am always multitasking. So I totally depend on notifications for posting responses on mylot. It may be only on holidays that I get a chance to look at other discussions too.

I usually have a lot of unwanted mails from many sites. So due to this single reason I don't used to look my mail account much but i uses my mail account if there is any necessary. Because of lot of junk mails I used to clear my inbox fully . Any tips to stop junk mails ?

Everytime you open a junk mail just remember to mark it as junk. So next time a mail from the same id goes directly into the junk folder. That saves you trouble the next time. There is no other alternative that I know of.

I never give my hotmail address out so I don'y really bother with what goes in there but I check my normal emails several times a day as I never leave messages in that, they either get deleted or answered.

My hotmail account has mostly notfications from mylot and Associated content. There was a time when I was deleting or answering my messages regularly. But when I switched jobs and could not log into my account regularly the unread messages just kept piling up. So now it is clearing time.

My inbox has grown and grown and as on today I have about 8000 unread emails. Dont you think that is just too much. I know I can never complete reading all these emails but I have to start somewhere. I dont know how many important emails may be lying unread in the inbox.

I clear my inbox as I get things. I never have more than 4 already read emails at a time and generally do not have more that 20 unread emails at a time. I try to keep my inbox clean, and even delete my trash once a week.

There was a gap of a few months when I could not log into my account everyday due to my job and that was the time when the emails started piling up. Just got a new laoptop at home a few weeks ago and now am making amends. Will try to clear up as much as possible as soon as possible. Hope I succeed and have just a few emails in my inbox in a few days time.

Wow taking leave to office and cleaning your inbox is a good idea. I don't know when I opened my Hotmail account. I guess I have to clean about 10,000 mails in Hotmail. I should take 2 days leave for that now...LOL

Since I have taken leave I am cleaning my inbox. I have nearly 8000 unread emails there waiting to be read. And many more read emails waiting to be answered. So plenty of work to do today.
