If you were given a chance to ask GOD one question

If God was to come to you and you were given a chance to ask just question what would it be. I would ask him WHY ALL MY LOVED ONES HAVE LEFT ME AND I AM ALL ALONE NOW. Because everyone close to me have either left me and gone far away or else left this world forever. What would your question be?

mayka, I guess you should find some way to reconnect with your old friends, those who are still here, or make some new friends. Perhaps a combination of the two. I don't know your situation. Although there are many things that puzzle me, I think the most important question to ask God is, "How do you want me to serve you, I have no clear guidance and little power to carry out any?" I honestly don't know how he'd respond to that.

I have found a solution to my problem of my loneliness. My laptop and the internet who keep me company everyday at home. As to your question...it is indeed a very interesting question and I too wonder how he would reply.

We moved into a new community, complete with a child who has Down's syndrome and a husband who can no longer speak or walk. The first thing I did was send out invitations to my neighbors, welcoming them into our home. Guess what? They came! From that day forward, I was blessed with several beautiful neighbors who stay in contact with me amost daily and I return the favor. If you don't reach out...outside the metal computer monster...no one will walk in your door with roses of welcome. You have to start the journey and say hello to those you meet along the way. I think God would say the same.

What would be the answer is more about the question we ask, as of myself i wonder which one of the million questions i would like to ask as there are many questions i will never get the answers I'm looking for. i would like to ask why the world isn't perfect, why is there good and bad,

Welcome mmprein. This seems to be the only discussion you have replied to and not a single one after that. Hope you are okay and having a great time here. In reply to your comment I can only say that because there is bad we can identify the good from the bad.

welcome to mylot. This is your first response. Great. You are starting from a tough question relating to God. There are always two sides to a coin. There are always good and bad--sweet and sour--kauravas and pandavas --rama and ravana--serious movies and comedy movies. have a good day. I cannot answer directly.

If God gives a chance to ask a question -- Why are good people given problems now and then and why are you not getting me success in my attempts always and why people close to me are facing mental tensions again causing tension for me also? I will also ask him to give good health for me and my people. have a good day.

This is called cheating. You are asking so many questions when you are given permission to ask only one. But yes none of us will be satisfied with just one question. Our minds are filled with so many questions seeing the problems all around us that we very often feel like asking God why so??

I know what you refer to. You told one question. So I made a BIG sentence. This is in respect of a person -- who has had full living --I was born in a middle class family --pushed down to live as a poor boy-- supported by close relative-- got married in an affluent family -- well settled in a job--tried many chances for improving but could not--blessed with a good wife and two children--both are well settled---still I have a lot of requests to make to God. that is life. I know I am asking more than what I should. If this is the case for a man who has lived fully--I can understand that others who are young will have many more questions to ask. have a good day.

i like and love God, so if he asks me what I want, I will ask him many things. priority list: 1. Give long life to my child 2. stop terrorism 3. stop pollution 4. stop violence etc; 5. introduce a lot of sites that pay dollars by the hour for posting like- my lot 6. let everyone have food 7. let children decide what they want to study, avoid history 8. let thee be no disease or pain 9. let everyone fly so that there is no transportation charge and I can visit any place I like-so can others.

Thanks for kickstarting the discussion. But you have gone way beyond the limit given to you!! I think I said just one question. You could have kept the rest of the questions for some other day, . But from the big list that you have given which would be the most important one for you? The first one?

You should always try to be a good person. So when you meet him you could have another question to ask because you would be a good person till then.

I am not God, but I can give you some answers to your questions. Each of us is in this life to grow through the lessons taught. I would guess that you are alone at this time to learn to value yourself, you are having thoughts of being alone but they are just that thoughts, not reality. This may be why you are with us here on mylot at just this time. Many here have similar needs. I would ask God why we humans make life so complex and in doing so cause so much pain?

I could not stop at one question. These would be but a few: "How did you know you could trust us with a child with special needs?" "How did You know that saving my husband's life, even though he can no longer walk or talk, would mean so much in our lives?" "How did You know that moving from our beloved Florida to small town Pennsylvania would be the best thing for us. It supplied us with a wealth of angels that we call neighbors, who help in every possible way whether asked or not. "How did you know that after looking at only two houses to rent, we would end with a landlady and landlord who helped in every way from giving a shoulder to cry on to insisting on paying for outside help when I broke four ribs and could no longer look after my husband. Another neighbor pitched in with a check and a friend offered to do the same." "How could you give us a son and daughter-in-law who brought us into their home until I recovered, with never a grumpy word or action?" How could anyone ever think angry thoughts about You, when you put us in the exact place we need to be. It may be that we need to learn tough lessons or that we must see others who are so much worse off praising your name. These are but a few of the questions. The most important would be "How could You,the God who sees every tiny thing on this earth, every give your Son to save all of us in spite of our ignorance?"

God has indeed sent his angels to be with you in your times of need. It is good that you have always had someone around to help you. God indeed works in strange ways. I too had a similar experience when I shifted to my present residence. Before leaving my house to see the present rented location I told my daughter that I am finalizing the first house that I see. And I have the best of people staying in my building who are always there for me. If I am sick I get my medicines, food etc everything ready for me.

Hi, Being able to see God with my own eyes is the greatest gift of all. This ultimate moment of joy will definitely leave me speechless and I'm not sure if I can think of anything to ask Him. Well, even if I did, I would embrace His feet and ask Him to take me along.

I too, am alone, and I sometimes talk to God about it, but I know I am alone because life just happens. People die, people change how they feel.. or they find someone else they love more than you... stuff like that happens, because man is an imperfect being.. so I don't question that. I might talk about it, but I never ask God why this happened... I just chose the wrong man. I would ask God why he created us to live here and what are we to accomplish? Why did he create us, just to live out our lives and die with no apparent purpose. Some people have a purpose.. they become important to the world we live in, and some never make a mark. So my question would be WHY?

It is sad to living with one parent. Especially when you love both. One will never know why God allows somethings bad to happen in our lives.

I ask, maybe, hundreds of questions of Him every day because He is present in my life and gives me the answers to the questions I ask, sooner or later. God is there for anyone who chooses to receive Him and, once you know how to listen to Him, he will answer any and every question. Unfortunately, many religions preach that we cannot contact God except through them and then only if we conform to their teachings. That is probably why you even thought that what you are asking is even a valid topic for discussion and I am mortally sorry that anyone should even THINK of asking this sort of question. ALL that you need to do is to go to your quiet place (and finding that becomes easier, the more that you try it) and say "Hello, God" (or whatever name you want to use) ... and then LISTEN.

I know all of us have a lot of questions to ask God if we had the opportunity of coming face to face with him. But there would be one question that would come first above all others. And that is the question that I wanted to know. I dont see what anyone should think that this is not a valid question. I talk to him everyday and ask him a whole lot of questions for which very often I get my answers.

If its a question, for which he will just answer, then probably i would ask why this pain and sufferings in this world-which he has created, and whether the World will end one day?? or better one is what can i do to save the world from killing itself? If it is a wish, then i will definitely ask for resetting this world, the way he created it and every human being should never again thing about destruction or sin. A Peaceful world.

Actually he's already answered your questions. The world is fallen. It will end. Your wish will also be granted when God creates and new Earth and new Heaven.

Since I believe that God, or whatever anyone would call him/her/it, that we have free choice in coming into this life of what challenges we must endure to progress our soul, in each of lives, I would ask, "Why do we need to do that? Is it because we will not appreciate what we have?"

@mayka123: I am sorry to know that all your loved ones have left you. Perhaps there are something better God has planned for you without them at your side. I hope you will be strong in the coming days without them. Nevertheless, if I am given a chance to ask God one question it will be "is all my deeds are accepted or not?" because in fact although I am not a very religious person but I do believe in Him and I seek forgiveness and pray to Him every day. And yet I did not really know whether my good deeds are accepted. All I know is that my bad deeds are counted every single day. I just want to be a better person, yet I am very far from it. It has sometimes become a dilemma within myself.

I do hope God has planned something better for me. These past few years have been very very bad. And now to make things worse I am having problems with my job and cannot afford to stay at home. We should pray to God everyday and seek forgiveness for all the bad deeds because definitely we do a lot of bad deeds without being aware of it many times. And yes we should always try to be a better person.

Faith is immeasurable and beyond understanding. With the kind of world and lifestyle that we are living now, what we see and felt is a tragic reality. I have so many things to ask to God in my heart to the point that it will sum up to just a simple question. If given a chance to ask God with one question only, I would ask God - "God, are you "OK"?.
