Whatever your beliefs, or lack of belief, when did you first realize the importance of that in your life? Was it one moment or more than one?

I was reared in a Christian family, so I don't ever remember not knowing the importance of God in my life; but it wasn't until I became an adult that I appreciated the study of God's word and the blessing that come from knowing God and our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

I am the same way. I grew up in a Christian family, my mom was a shining example of everything it meant to be a Christian woman. But it wasn't until I was in college that I really appreciated the importance of God in my life and the blessings he grants us.

I have always known how important religion is to me and in my life. The most defining moment was when i was diagnosed with cancer. I needed that support and reassurance of my faith and my church family.

I was raised in church and began to believe when I was a child. My life growing up was not good, the family was always in torment. We were never in peace. So it was a comfort to know someone loved me no matter what, as it is to know today.

I was born to a religious family and grew up going to church every Sunday. I was around 12 yrs old when I began to ponder religion. It seemed to me that Science and Religion should go hand in hand but they did not agree at all. I knew that Science was responsible for all the the good things in life. Everything that made life easier, and better was a product of Science, while religion professed to lead us to a better life it was all talk and no show. I was 23 when I walked away from the Church Choir, My Sundays School class, and weekly Church. It took a while to get used to it, but since that day I have never once regretted my decision!

I went to a Catholic school and went to church like all of the other kids. But I seem to have absorbed more of the teachings than I realized. I had an extremely difficult childhood. One day I walked into the church when I was severely depressed. I was alone. I simply said, "Jesus, You said 'Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will refresh you.' Do something to help me." Well, I won't tell you what happened. But suddenly I knew that God was real, that He was extremely powerful, that He loved me in a way I had never known, and that He understood exactly how I was feeling. That experience gave me the strength and courage to deal with the rest of my life.

I have always known that religion is important to me. That there is something Divine in every one of us, something Divine in the magic that holds the Universe together. I have always known that faith and belief are the two most important things for the health of your soul, your spirit.

I was in my teens, 13. I went to see the movie Fiddler On The Roof. I fell for the music and then I wanted to know why Jews were so hated. I studied up and realized that I can understand and follow their message. Plus questions were welcomed! so that was my beginning and now too many years to count later , I'm Jewish. The Only Jew in my family!

I think I realized that religion wasn't really my thing in 3rd grade when I was going (read forced into going to Bible Study after school) my parents believed it was important that I got exposed to a religion (roman Catholic). I didn't fit in to the religious doctrine. I found the 6 day creation to be ridiculous then the story of the Ark where 1,000s of animals all got on to a boat and where saved from a world wide flood. I realized this from looking at it and how I didn't feel a single thing toward the religion and well I am not a very emotional based person in a lot of ways. I am far more rational and logical especially when stressed out. So religion which largely basses itself on fear has very little in the way of attraction for me personally.

I real don't know exactly remember how it became important to my life. It has been a long difficult journey. I do know it did happen in my adulthood. I also do know the process started when I was 24 years old. Before that rligion was jammed down my throat by the church and grade school I attended and by my hypocrite father! That is the best reason it has been a long and diffucult journey!

Hi, Religion never played an important role in my life until one day it gave me a striking realization. Presence of evil in my previous home turned my life miserable. When no body wants to help, the church came to my rescue. That's the point when I realized how forgiving and merciful our Lord is. From that day onwards, I have become spiritually focused and secured an undivided devotion towards Him. Now, I feel that I have the strength to overcome anything.

I don't know when I released for myself that religion wasn't a big deal for me. I want to say it was when I was a toddler. I have always know it wasn't right for me. Yeah sure I was raised Catholic and I believe in certain things when it comes to catholicism but that is about it. I don't really see myself as being religions. I know some people say you need a religions and to believe god to be happy but I don't think so. If you believe in it the it's real to you and no one else. There will be people that believe in the same faih as you and they will believe to different degrees. I believe in different aspects if different religions. I don't go to church I don't pray and I dint fallow any books either.

It is when I realized that I need God in my life and accept Him as my Lord and Savior. I feel it every time I see how He changes and transforms every part of my life and lead me to righteousness. I'm not capable of doing so many things but God can. He redeemed my life and He's the only one that I could call on to when life seems so tough.
