When what you hope for isn't given equals disappointment..

I have been rooting for a job abroad and it comes only once a year. I was selected last year but not of my category so I told the agency I would try again this year wherein I would be placed in my category. To my dismay, I was not able to make it in the list. Unable to bear the slow loss of a 7-year old dream, I ended up crying and sulking. Nothing hurts more than this, I suppose. :'(

Life certainly has it's share of disappointments to hand out to us but we must learn to accept. This position was not for you. It is something that simple. Something better will come along when the time is right, something more appropriate for you. Keep working hard, believe in yourself and your dreams and keep your eyes and ears open for those opportunities.

That's great. I hope things work out in a way that is really good for you. In case it doesn't right away, don't give up just keep trying.

I just have to keep trying. Right now, I am on the verge of freaking out. I need to keep myself intact and sane. Oh! I wish Life is that easy. Whew..

I can understand your disappointment and i hope that by now you have recovered. It's not the end of the world yet and you will always have your chance. If it's meant to be it's gonna happen. If it's meant for you, it will be given.

I believe in destiny toni. But sometimes, life serves you with something distressing. I love my friends. They continue to support me and encourage me somehow. My family has also been supportive. Nowadays, they are helping me find ways to achieve what I desire.

If you have tried and missed twice it is probably not meant to be. You are getting a message that it is best to stay where you are--that doesn't mean to stop trying but to concentrate on doing the best you can in the place where you are. There may something where you are that you haven't found yet--perhaps the love of your life is right in front of you but you don't see them, or an opportunity is waiting for you that you don't see because you are trying so hard to go abroad. Don't give up, but in the meantime try harder to make the most of where you are and try to excel both personally and professionally. Look at this as an opportunity, not a failure.

Thank you. I am trying to rethink my options now and indeed I am aiming to become better as a person, humbling myself to a DIvine will and professionally. I hope to pursue my plans. In the meantime, I will seek a job locally. While on job, I 'll make the most out of the time. God help me.

I'm so sorry to hear that it didn't go as planned. I know that it's hard not to be able to accomplish what you set out to do right away. I have learned that life's greatest surprises are the ones that we don't plan on. I think there is something else out there for you that is going to make you one day very happy. Good luck and keep your chin up.

Thank you so much. I am glad for the optimistic advice. These past events have me thinking that maybe I am pushing myself too hard into something that is not for me. I have to take things slowly from hereon and hope for the best. I need not hurry. I pray and continue to hope that "one day" would come anytime soon that I would be able to pursue my passion and fulfill my dreams..
