I was a bit disappointed when finish shopping but the shop keeper is not preparing sufficient change and asking to pay in exact amount of money. Sometimes they are not ready with coins and provide candy as replacement of coins of change. I think they will have gain more profit looking at the candy price is below the cons change they supposed to pay to us.. Sometimes they really don't have coins for change and the cashier keeper looking after every where..How about you? Do you have any experienced when shopping and at cashier counter?

I was in that position once, but it was a little bit more than just not having enough "change" as in coins. The first customer of the day only had a $100 bill to pay with but had not gotten much stuff, so I owed him a lot of "change". If I had given him the money immediately, then I would not have had enough for the other customers as we did not keep a lot of money in the till. Fortunately, he was not in a big hurry, so I talked with him until I had been able to ring up a few more people and had enough change. I also gave him a certificate for free merchandise for his time, which of course I had approved by my boss.

Hi there, I'm a cashier and I"ve never been in that position but close before. If everyone pays in large bills and if the store is busy then I've come very close to running out of certain change. Some nights, it seems that everyone pays with a 20.00 bill. When that happens, I can go through 200 ones in no time if everyone is getting 4 ones and change back. If things start getting low, I will put up a sign saying that I need ones or quarters or whatever I'm running low on. Giving candy back as change is pretty unusal. I would say that an average candy bar is over 1.00 so odds are the store is losing money if they do that. Sounds like the clerk just ran into a situation and was trying to make things right with the customers. If it happens regularly, I'd complain.

No I haven't had any problems lately. One thing I would do tho is make a complaint if I have been disturbed by others actions. Maybe it would fix the problem. If it didn't fix the problems, then I think I would take my business some place else. Thanks
