Yup.. its official.. I am a idiot. This is what has happened.. I received my first monthly payment from mylot on 14th this month and I was happy about it. It was my first time withdrawing money from paypal too and I had no experience with it. But then I thought.."it ain't any rocket science..". I logged on to my paypal account, read the message but instead of selecting "withdraw" I clicked the option "refund".... Actually I looked it from a consumer's angle. Like when a consumer is unhappy with any product and asks for refund... I thought it meant that paypal is going to transfer the money to my bank account... :p And there it was.. my paypal account empty again. But then I thought something was weird. All the money got refunded...to mylot, with a short but blood-boiling message "You have refunded this payment in full". Like I was struck by a lightening bolt. I realized then what refund actually meant. aahhhhh.....I felt like banging my head on the table over and over again. I sent Dyana a pm regarding the issue cause she's my up-liner. Oh man..I had planned my rest of the month with that amount. An hour went by and I couldn't figure out any possible way to get my payment back. I even started convincing myself saying that I donated that amount back to mylot for a good cause... the idea didn't work though. Suddenly it struck me that I should contact any admin and ask... well appropriately beg for help and fortunately I knew one.. Alex or GoAskAlice as he likes to keep it. I sent him a message titled "help" describing my miserable situation. It was then I realized that Alex clearly mentioned in his profile page that "please dont contact me regarding your payment issues..". Well.. I was doomed again.... Now the question began to haunt me; "is Alex going to respond to my query ?.." Thank God he did. He told me to leave a message describing the issue in the "contact" section. I did exactly what he said and the very moment I got a message that mylot had received my message and was on it. I felt so relieved... The next day I checked my paypal account and jumped out shouting Booyeah... I did receive my pay back.. $.75 less though which was deducted by paypal as transaction fees but duh.. I now realize paypal as a potential weapon which when used unknowingly or carelessly can lead to self-destruct. Well for others I'd suggest while using paypal, never select the option "refund"..

I am so sorry for laughing, really I am but... that is the funniest story that I have read on here for such a long time I am so pleased to see that you did reach your payout and (I guess not many will remember that I informed of a referral of mine who had suddenly reappeared after many years, but I will never forget ) I hope that it was well worth waiting for. I can imagine your plight when you realised what a dimwit you had been after sending it straight back to myLot. I wonder what myLot thought about it too

I commiserate. It something that could happen to ANY average, momentarily distracted, slightly doo-lally, ummm .... well, you said it ... Paypal charged you for the extra work you gave them (they probably sighed and said "Some people ..."). Usually MyLot payments have NO charges whatsoever (unlike some sites which always deduct an amount for 'fees'). Ah well, we live and learn. I don't know what you might have bought with the 75 cents. A candy bar, maybe? I think I would go and buy one anyway, to console myself as I chuckled ruefully all evening!

owlwings hes not the only idiot I once hit the wrong button and took money out of my bank account to paypal.oh I felt so stupid, so got some help and they showed me what I should have hit but I knew that its just I was hurried and hit the wrong tab and like when I deposite my earnings in transfer to my bank account it was done so fast I was in shock to think I had taken out almost all of what was in my bank account and then had two amounts to transfer back to my banking account.so paypal helped me by undoing my errror and i hit the right button and put my earnings into my checking account and the other amount was added a day or too later. now I am nmost careful to see the right tab before actually pressing it lol lol

Hi owlwings Yeah I know it was so idiotic of me to hit that refund button. I've mentioned what I thought it to be in the discussion but soon it's actual meaning became very clear, and this clarification came with slap worth my mylot payment. Mylot guyz out there might be having a blast laughing out loud.."who is this guy.." and I think paypal workers might be joining them soon. Thank God Hatley came to my rescue, thats what I'd like to call. Its really satisfying to learn that you are not the only chump in the house. Hey Hatley, lets give it a toast, what ya say.. :p

Hahaha that was really fun to read. I'll make sure to not refund my first payment from myLot whenever I get it. Good for you though, you got your money back. Good luck next time.

hi hi msey I made a similar error only instead of hitting transfer fund to my bank account I hit transfer fund to paypal so then I had to ask them to help me and the woman was very kind and said you should have hit transfer earnings to my bank account so I did that and it took a few days to undo my error and get the money into my account. but I really was thankfu l that the paypal lady was so helpful and did not laugh at my stupid blunder. If you have an online bank accou nt you can set it up so you can tranfer your earnings into your online bank account very easy to set up and to do.

Yes, its funny but it doesnt make you an idiot. It only shows your are a human being who is bound to make mistakes. It doesnt matter whether you pressed the refund button knowingly or unknowingly. It would still have been a mistake. Dont beat yourself up over it.

It must be something in you. Why you didn't select Withdraw? You must be very unfamiliar with myLot and paypal. :)
