I've been a customer service rep since the stone age

When I first started working I was a CSR. Nothing gives me more pleasure than to show the way to frustrated customers and make their day! Since computers entered the scene and the people in the ivory towers figured they knew how to make customer service (better) I left. Since then I've seen the series "outsourced" and CSNBC dissect the "new" way of doing customer service and I can only laugh to myself. Do you like the "new" way companies treat you when you call them with a question, or do you feel like just another number?

I do not like it.....and sometimes when you want to talk to someone you can't....I can see why you laugh at them....what a joke! Customer service should be about two people talking....not you calling a number and getting a bunch of hooey when you do call.
