What do U do when U get stressed/upset????

We as a people have many issues that stress us out...Its only human Even tho I consider myself as a very laid back adult and normally really try to think a sitution through before reaching a conclusion., I do know that I do get stress out sometimes...But what I have done since the cancer is try not to worry so much...especially about situtations out of my control.. Most of the time when instead of flying off the handle, if we take a moment and step back, really give the situtation some thoughtful input, it may not be as difficult as we first comclude.. What do U do?

When I am stressed I pray a whole lot and I try to stay away from others so I don't bring them down with me. I am going through a lot of stress right now and I am trying to be strong and deal with it with my head held high...

I also write a lot in my journal when I am stressed, it helps to write it out sometimes...

I find going to the gym helps a lot. Lifting weights and hitting a heavy bag can definitely relieve a lot of stress. Other times I'll just smoke some weed. I find being stoned lets you not think of whatevers bothering you and often keeps you in a happier mood. Eating your favourite snack or something you really like can take away some stress. I know other people just sometimes go for a nice 15 min walk or so to get some fresh air and relieve stress.

LOL hi dheppler, thanks so much for responding...I appreciate your feedback...you had choices from soup to nuts and it was great...plenty of choices...some sound very very rewarding and some I'll pass... thanks again...

I am what I call allergic to stress so I get sick. I have severe depression with panic attacks. When I stress real bad I get rashes, shakes and nausea. Not fun. That is why I called it allergic. Very sensitive to stress is no fun. I do take medication that helps.

when I'm stressed, I chose to be quiet, and shut myself in the room. Or, I logged on MyLot. That way, I was a little less stressful. If I get together with others, in a state of stress, made ??me become more stressful. So, I prefer, to avoid other people, when I'm stressed.

if stressed and alone I calm down myself burn some escense or try to sleep a bit if upset it depends.. probably I find someone (my daughter) to talk to if I am not able to calm myself down.

If things get too stressful, I honestly play a video game or go online and RP. Reading helps sometimes as well unless the stress is something that would pull me away from any stress relief. Otherwise I might sing to myself and in times of extreme stress I just scream into a pillow and I am usually ok after that.

I find that running on my treadmill does help relieve the stress somewhat. Taking some time for myself by reading a book or just resting does the trick. But it's hard to do when you have so much stuff to do and you can't tear yourself away from doing them but then that adds even more stress. But those are some of the things I do. I also take dance classes but since I'm kind of broke right now I haven't been able to take any in the past few months.

I think that it is very important that we all find ways in which we are able to cope if things get stressful for us during the course of our lives. When I get stressed, I like to take a bath and listen to some of my favourite songs while I am lying in the warm water. This means that I am able to have a little bit of time away from my family asking me if everything's alright, as I hate it when I feel stressed and people keep choosing to ask me that. I also like to exercise, and I fully recommend that to people who are feeling stressed for whatever reason.

Hello bjc66bjc, There are many things which i do when i get upset/stressed.One of the most normal thing which i do is to start playing with my kids,go for a brisk walk,talk to a friend,watch TV,listen some light music,try to indulge my self in some other thing which love to do and if even then too my stress does not get releived i go to bed and sleep.

Focused breathing for relaxation - Deep breathing can help manage stress
Yes, apart from the step back after taking a moment, I also believe in the power of looking inward while practicing deep breathing. The latter really helps me very much always. It's only natural, as I have learnt from constant practice. When in stress, the breathing cycle gets completely haywire and it creates further stress, leading to a vicious cycle. The best way to break the vicious cycle is to withdraw mind and focus on deep breathing. This is very effective and I always strongly advise people to practice it regularly.

I am susceptible for stress because of my work. When I was in stress, my routine in overcoming it will not cause me to buy or spend my money. It was simply to take many abdominal breaths, this will ease me to relax and take it easy. I find it so therapeutic that I do this always whenever I feel stressed. I don't know if this varies from people to people but it works for me!

When I get stressed/upset I surf the internet,chat with friends.If it does not work then I try to remember the funny things that happened in my life still date.

first of all when i feel that i am going to "explode" i try to isolate myself and calm down,because when you are stressed and angry you can take it on the persons near to you and i don't want to say bad things to the ones around me. then i try to relax,to think better the situation,drink a tea,and to find a solution to the problem that caused the stress.sometimes is beter to go to sleep and the next morning the things seem more clear and easy.

I think it depends on what I am stressed out about. I usually try to find a solution to my problem. That is the only to get rid of the stress for me. If it is something that I am stressing about because I am mad, then I have to go and sit somewhere quiet so I can just be alone until I calm down.

When i feel depressed,i will watch tv ,hang around shops, browse the internet or just read some things.these days i turn to God when i feel down .I rely on God to help me.Sometimes something can't be controled by human.

I got mad yesterday due my internet connection speed turn down and can't open anything, just loading at all. I was ranting to my ISP service in front of computer, damn...wtf....something like that, then I was shut down the computer and went to bed, just slept.

Yes, as a human, sometimes we cannot control when something goes wrong and make us get stressed. When the situation going worse and worse, and we are not able to handle the situations, want it or not, we will be in bad condition and mostly get into a bad-mood. For me, when I got stressed and bad mood, I will avoid going out and avoid meeting people. Usually, I will play game on computer or eat something. But most of the time, the better activity is sleep :-) After sleeping, the problem is still there, but my head is better and clearer to think.
