This day and age, I probably belong to minority of those who do not do FB. All my family and friends think I am strange when they found out I don't have a FB account. FB just does not interest me, and I am curious how many here feel the same way I do?

@sishy7 I am on it to keep up with family and friends but I do admit it can bore the crap out of me at times. Not that they are really the same site but MyLot keeps my interest way more than Facebook does.

This 5-year-old post is still valid... I'm still not on it and have no plan to be on it at any future time either...

I don't have Facebook too. I feel depress comparing my life to others. I feel happier without Facebook. People don't have to know what's going on with my life

Definitely not worth having if it makes you feel down... But hey, you don't need to compare your life to others either... It's okay to keep your life private but everyone has their own lives to be grateful for...

I am not all that big into FB either. I do have an account though and that is because my family all has one and when there are family events, they tend to post on FB the details or what they want people to bring etc. If you didn't have an account, you wouldn't get notified. I hardly ever am on there umless I get a notice in my e-mail that someone has sent me a message/ Even though I am hardly on it, I'm glad I have it. Recently a handicapped man that I used to babysit for years ago, contacted me. I haven't seen him in nearly 30 years. What a cool surprise that was! It does have it's perks.

That's awesome. It does have the power to reconnect people, doesn't it? Maybe I am just not into sharing too much information with potential strangers all over the web.

Hello sishy7 :) aww, I can feel what your friends and family feel :D lol. but it is okay, the choice is yours. It does not matter as long as you are comfortable with it. Sometime people just don't want to spend their time useless in Facebook. Facebook doesn't influence your life, facebook is not the only way to connect with the people in your life :D. Okay sishy7, happy mylotting.
