Ever visit a Windfarm?

I have yet to visit a site where a windfarm is located,but I think I'd like to see some of these windmills up close...Driving home on a 2 lane road passing through a village last night,I could see flashing amber lights on a van coming towards me,and "Wide Load" across the front..the Driver had the window open,signalling Me to stop..He explained there were 3 trucks with wide loads coming behind,that it would be best to pull over to the side until they got past..as they did so,I realised the aerodynamically curved load on each truck was a single wind turbine blade.. and if the truck bed was 40 feet,the blades were longer,out over the end at the back..they were impressive bits of engineering,so the complete assembly must be awesome up close and in operation.. What's your experience or thoughts on windfarms?
