How to open an American Bank Account?

Hi,friends,I am trying to sell something on ebay.com,but here I have a problem ,if I use a Chinese bank account ,not only I have to pay for 35$ for every withdraw,but also very unconvinient,Can you tell me ,is it possible for me to open an American bank account,and if possible which account do you suggest??here I am in china now!!

Since the September 11th attack, this is now practically impossible and extremely expensive. You will need a huge amount of documentation to prove that you have a legitimate reason and you will need to have a substantial amount (several thousand dollars) to deposit as a security.
If you search the Internet, you will find a number of people offering 'easy' solutions (for money). Be quite clear about this: They are ALL scams and CANNOT get you a US bank account ... or certainly not a legal and real one!

I assume it works like this: Go to America with your ID and personal info and open an account. I assume their are costs for that too, or bank costs every year. I doubt if this is worth it? How about pay pal?
