There are causes of itchiness on a person's skin, either cause by allergies or skin diseases like ringworm. The best remedy is to see a skin specialist or a dermatologist who is an expert to diagnose why one has an itching problem. Try this home remedy on itchiness by putting the affected area on a lukewarm water with enough salt and see if it will reduce the itch.

Personally this sounds like a Good reason for your friend to go to a Doctor and have this situation looked into, as this is not good. Especially if they are Diabetic or have other issues Health wise. They could end up getting a Severe infection that would not be good and it could be caused from many things. Sounds like they need some type of special medication to help clear this.

Sounds like your friend needs to pay an URGENT visit to a doctor (not a dermatologist, by the way), or maybe even to the hospital. Itching isn't always caused by something on the surface; your friend's is painful, and bleeds, so that's not something to be taken lightly. Personally, I've had this problem before; only repeated courses of antibiotics stopped it. I've also had bruising (bluish/black). Hopefully, what your friend has isn't MRSA, or cancer.

I think your friend should find out first if there is a parasite in his/her body that can couse it. It can also be an allergy against food, something in the bed or whatever. Drink a lot of water to get the toxic out of the body and stop eating for 1-3 days and see what happens. If you keep scratching till it bleeds (I do the same) it's logical it can turn black (damaged vains). It's hard not to scratch if you feel so itchy. Antihistamine (tablets) might help it it's an allergy. Also keep it cool and cut the nails keep them short and clean so if scratching it won't get infected. I already feel itching since years (over 40) and nothing really helps :-( At this moment I take prednisone and painkillers and hope it will be better one day.

I remember when my dad have this itching problem too and he had this skin that turns black on the infected skin. He uses anti-itch cream that can be bought in the pharmacy, I forget what brand of cream he uses but all I know was there is 1% hydrocortisone placed at the middle of the box. Just visit to the pharmacy and ask the pharmacist if they have this over-the-counter cream.

I think what you need is a consultation with a physician/doctor, and not a vaccine. You know, vaccines don't cure itchyness. They only prepare you for the coming illnesses you may contract along the way.

you need to go to the doctor to check if you are experiencing severe itching. anyway you could try to put crushed garlic gloves to the area for instant relieve. you could but zinc oxide ointments if the cause of itching is from fungi. i don't know why the area will turn black after scratching, it should turn red right? if that is the case, you need to see a doctor.

It is very hard to give suggestions for remidies reagarding your itching problem unless you will tell us what are the causes of it. Better to ask a doctor first so you can identify what are the causes. There are lot of "home-made" remedies if we can identify the causes. Let's say, if it is fungal, you may use garlic extract to stop it from further growth. If small insects bites cause itching better clean your area and try to apply insecticides. Sometimes, allergy causes itching too. I just wonder why does itching stops only when blood comes out of your skin. Better consult a doctor, a dermetologist will do.

Yeah, I have that kind of skin disease right now in my fingers. I am applying Nizoral and lately I am walking around with bandages around the infected fingers. I notice that they heal longer when you expose them. I think now I can see improvement after I have medicated and covered the infected areas. I only let them free in the evening.

Hello Bhanu, You need to consult a doctor for it.May its a type of allergy or an infection which you need a treatment. i remember my elder brother was also having this disease and the doctor told him that this was due to fungal infection so he took medications for around 1~2 years and got rid of it but now also in rainy season he develops it but get cured automaticaaly in few days without medicines.

Highly recommended is to visit and see you doctor for a check up ! This is not normal if the itch goes away after bloods comes out? Consider this as serious skin problem to prioritize your health. :]

I think the best thing to do is to see your doctor. If you can't distinguish from a normal itching caused by allergies or by fungi or bacteria. So you are safe in taking medicines or applying some creams or ointments. It's good if the itching is caused by allergies, say you have eaten something you are allergy on, because you can just take some anti-allergy meds like, claritin or alerta. Its' not so good if its caused by fungi because you have to have a longer medication. So you can take nizoral or use trosyd. Those are only examples, I'm not even sure if those medicines are available in your place. Though I am certain they are available but maybe with different brand names.

It is hard for me to tell what the disease is. The only thing that I can suggest is that you can try an anti-histamine to stop it from itching. Try to pay a visit to your Doctor so that you will know what's that condition is.
