There would be times when we just want to discuss and discuss. Like, we really have a lot to share. But for sure, it will not always be the case all the time. There would be some time also that we just want to comment on discussions because we ran out of ideas to discuss. If we were you, I will just do what I wanted to do as of the moment because I am sure that things will change as time goes by. And if it will not really change...then, at least try yourself to converse with others. It will definitely make your stay all worth it. Have a great day!

yep, that's it.. i want to discuss and discuss that's why i love making discussions because this gives me the opportunity to talk with more people collectively in a single discussion!

Commenting on our responses is like conversing as well. It creates a great bond to all of us in here...^^

why do you feel that it is not okay? i think there is a need to strive more to learn. that is if you wanted to participate in the discussions by responding. do not get hesitant to express yourself. if you are very particular about how you do it, then do something about it.

'why do i feel it is not okay'" well, it was just came out from my head like in a parlance saying - selfish. you think there is a need to strive more to learn and that, you think striving through discussions' participation made by some others or someone whom i used to know. i knew that but i don't feel comfortable because even though i can well understand what the poster is saying, i may not be in a full capacity to answer because of language barrier unless otherwise we have the same language in common. i am not hesitant nor do i have a selective interraction. it is just that the shy factor is being involved here. i do not want to be an arrogant by keeping on responding if my grammars are incorrect which i found most of the time, here.

with regards to a serious and formal discussions, the sayings that reads 'you are what you write' does makes me shy off, lol... not all the times though because there were times that i write whatever i think and that makes more funnier at times... but you were right, no one will know who really are the persons you are talking with in the virtual world and that makes us showy sometimes. thanks again deedee for keeping this post going....i like you

I would not worry too much about your english speaking/writing skills. If you speak from the heart, I think you will find that your opinions and ideals will be meaningful to other people. People who do not understand you can ask questions for clarification on what you mean to say. If you feel that it is not okay to continue to only start discussions, then try responding to other people's posts a little.

Zills; Sometimes even those of us who speak perfect English get our words mixed up. You could always explain that you are working on developing your speaking skills and ask for patience and understanding. Like I said earlier, put a comment in your post to let people know that it is okay to ask you for clarification if they don't understand your meaning. Most people will understand and reach out to help you. You may get responses from people who are rude and disrespectful, but just ignore them. They are not worth your time if they want to belittle or degrade you.

hi deedee! i also believe that speaking from the heart depicts the poster itself with sincerity of its post or comment. sometimes, i am saying words from my head and that does not mean the opposite, though.

As you like to start discussion make sure to take part in discussion started by you this way mylotter would feel good and take part in your future topics but if you don't comment back then some of the mylotter would find it boring as many of us like to discuss the subject in detail what is there to be afraid of your English is not bad at all you are very good at it so don't worry about it and keep going

It's better if you responded to discussions you have posted. It's okay if your English is poor, as long as it can easily be understood. Aside from that, responding to discussion is also an opportunity to enhance your English skills.

That's funny I feel the opposite. I've not started as many discussions that I have been in but when I do start a discussion I do not get that many responses so it makes me feel lonely. I think a discussion can be meaningful if we wish them to be but we have to talk back and forth I think.

Me too. I've had both though, very deep things to consider and think about and discussions about silly things like the smell of new toilet tissue.

Hi zills, first of all your English is fine...As for starting more discussions, I feel that you have to be balanced, since you have to respond to others discussions as well .The more you write and share your views the better your vocabulary gets...I normally start at the most one or two discussions in a week and respond to others discussions most of the time - all the best and happy mylotting

If you start a discussion, you have to follow all your discussion. You have invited other mylotters to come into your discussion, so you have to be there. If you can not do that because you think your English is poor, there is no one to punish your English because this is not an Englsh class. This is a discussion and as long as you can get the message across, that's okey.

Hi zills: I don't think there's nothing bad about this. That's another way to contribute on the site but if you want to enjoy the best of both worlds you just should try to dedicate a limited time to start new discussions and use the rest of the time to participate with your responses. ALVARO

Hello Zills, Don't worry about the language even i too also don't have good ENGLISH but i do particpate in discussions because that's the way i feel i will improve it. As far as starting/responding to other's discussion it hardly matters what matter is you must comment back to the responses you get on your discussion so that people may not feel that they should not respond to your discussions.

first of all, you should do whichever one you seem more comfortable with. But, participating in discussions will be a nice way for you to improve your english. Your english seems good from what you wrote but responding in the discussions will increase your confidence. You do not need to answer many discussions, start by answering a few only per day and see how it goes for you

thanks maria! i only respond to a discussion based on my ability to write, mostly; and, of course, if there are some informations that i can share with the poster depending on the relevance that i gather after reading its post.

My english is also not so good. But I am not giving up. I am not native speaker and Iam still only learning the language. Do not give up and try to do your best, you will see that how you are getting better and better with it. That also one of the reason why I am useing this website. What can be better than learning and earning together.:-)

English is not the matter, what we want to say here that only need here able to participate and starting the discussion. Also if you start your own discussion that also need the English you know then how you Lol. It's all fact what you want to express here to the People that's need to understandable for all that's enough for here. We are discussing here, not trying to teach Professional English, anyway what you want to say is clearly Visible to here the People that's why we are Responding. Don't feel for it. Happy mylotting.

Hello, You must try it because i hink you will improve as soon as yOu try and do it with all your heart. Of course before answering a discussion make sure that you have an idea. And i know even if our english is poor other mylotters will still understand it. You dont have to worry about the grammar as long as we still understand. Okay?? Good luck..

Just go with what naturally comes out from you. If you are comfortable making discussions than responding, then no one should dictate you of what you should do. But I must say that what drives you not to respond is not helping you. You should still respond even if your English grammar is poor. Practice using the English language so that you can be comfortable using it and be able to improve on it. The good old myLotters in here won't criticize you for that. And even if there are some who will criticize you out, don't care about them. Just go on with responding and learning the language. As for making too much discussions, I am the other way around. I'd rather respond to discussions rather than create my own discussions. We have the option to choose what we want to do so it is your call.

I think you should do that which makes you will comfortable . With time on commenting back to discussions you will slowly gain more confidence and in the process your English will also develop . Already you have a red star . Don't worry friend just keep on responding and shred off your hesitation and you will be able to handle things very soon . Be happy and enjoy

You seem to write in English quite well. If you actively join in the discussions, your English will improve. Constant practice is the best for improvement. However, if you would rather post discussions, then do so if it makes you happy, but you can certainly do both, don't you?

You may be more comfortable starting discussions because you feel more familiar with the topic. No worries, whenever you come across discussion that you think is interesting, just response on your own words and you'll find it just as rewarding.
