I worked with my husband last week. He does construction and renovations. He and his partners are finishing a house they have been doing for months, now. Anyway, he asked me to help with cleaning, well down on my hands and knees all day scrubbing paint off the floors really did me in because I developed a very severe pain in my neck and shoulder and it kept me awake at night. I took Tylenol like crazy and cried a lot. Today, it's a little better but the stress of the pain caused me other problems like a darn cold sore on my lip and cramping in my gut. My husband wants me to see a doctor but if it's a pulled muscle or pinched nerve there is not much the doctor can do for me anyway, so I'll probaly not go. I type a lot on my computer, too which doesn't help my pain but I guess, I'll just ride this pain in the neck out. HAVE A GOOD DAY, MY LOT FRIENDS!

Yikes all of that extra hard work will do that to you. Especially if you were on your hands and knees all day long and your body is not accustomed to the extra work or the position. I know how you are feeling. I suffered with terrible pain in my neck and back for years. I finally broke down and went to a chiropractor. It helped me so much. I was pain free for a long time with regular visits. Unfortunately, my new insurance does not cover it and I never get to go anymore. I sure could use it. I hope you get to feeling better. I have been in your shoes and it is not pretty.

hi ecaron o h but the doctor can help a pain in the neck a nd shoulder. I had something like that from doing some painting and went to my doctor. He prescribed a muscle relaxant which really really relieved that pain. You cannot find this in over the counter things so you must see your doctor to get that help and its really worth it too.No sense in suffering when it can be helped.

Try these * massage the neck * rotate neck 360 degrees if possible slowly clockwise than anticlockwise * take some painkiller ointment apply on neck. * consult doctor if it does not work Hare Krishna Ganesh

I seem to always have the pain in my neck and right shoulder and its from typing and keeping my shoulder up most of the time on top of my desk at work and either writing or typing so it does its days work of work and at the end of tehday its hurting and i guess i just get used to it now and keep it how it is and i dont do much unless i can get my cousin to do a massage right there for me and that sometimes helps me but then at first the next day it hurts but will get better then it will come back again from working but for me its life and i think you have eitehr a knot that will be there or a pulled muscle. Have your hubby rub in some muscle cream into it at night before you go to sleep and it might help the niext day i do this to myself sometimes so i dont feel to much pain and it helps me some. Have a great day mylotting.
