The ghosts in our drumstick tree

drumstick tree - the drumstick tree in our backyard have ghosts
India

In my discussion- http://www.mylot.com/w/discussions/2617969.aspx I said’ Two harmless ghosts live in the Drumstick tree on our back yard, this tree is more than 100 years old, my grandfather purchased this plot of land in 1904, and the tree was there then.’ I repeat they are harmless, as they have never done any harm to any member of family, in the evening I sit below it, my grandkids play there too. As the tree almost dried out, reasons still unknown, I employed persons to cut it leaving one foot from ground level, I know it will grow fully in about 2 months. It will bear tons of drumsticks, this we never sell, but distribute among family in the locality, I have the faith, the more you distribute, more fruits will grow. This is true for the guava trees there. Last night one of the ghosts, an aged female with white hair met me in dream, said, we are still there, don’t worry; the leaves, branches dried off, because one of your workers engaged in construction work, who has bad vision plucked fruits without telling you. Well I have faith on ‘bad-vision’ of some persons; if they look at your baby, they start crying nonstop, some develop loose motion, fever etc; we take them to the temple, where the priests utter some mantra and blow air on his/her body, soon he/she is okay. Do you agree with me on the point,’ the more you distribute, more fruits will grow.’ Do you agree with me, about ‘bad-vision’ (we call it dristi or nazar) of some persons. Please comment on this and my interaction with harmless ghost. Please also share your opinion and similar experience. Thanks in advance. Let’s enjoy life to fullest. Professor ‘*^Bhuwan^*’. . 16/2/2012.

Hello Sir it was nice to read your story . I have heard so many such stories from my grandpa and grandma . I must make it clear that I don't believe in ghost as I have never met them but I don't say that who relate such stories are lying because they must have reason behind such anecdotes . As you said you met the ghosts in vision and not directly so it can be an hallucination or a mental state of mind . As regards ill omens or 'bad vision or 'buri nazar ' I had been similarly taken to the nearest mandir or darga and given 'charanamritam' or some 'special water' after chanting of mantra by the priests in my childhood after I fell sick but I now have no believe in them . But I respect your views as well . Perceptions differ as you know . Hope you are well . Take care and regards

Your concept of "more you distribute , more the fruits will grow" may not be literally true but it is a very good thought and it is always good to share . I believe the more you give the more you will be blessed my God .

Hi Professor, How interesting that you have those ghosts in your tree! Not a lot of people believe in ghosts anymore, especially in the west. As I've always said though, there is much that we don't understand and many people have had at least one experience that they are not able to explain. I agree completely with the concept that the more you give the more you get, and it applies to many things in life. Blessings.

dear Profsaheb, since both of us are on the same wavelength i can understand your comment on 'buri nazar' and the ghosts. As you already know i see a spirit virtually everyday standing near my bed but not doing anything to me. Yes, according to our traditions there are talks of ghosts living on certain trees like Peepul and Neem.In fact in this world all plants and trees have their own spirits which take care of them.It is therefore necessary to protect every tree since it is like us a living creature as the Life force or Prana shakti runs through it.This has been proved by the famous Indian scientist Sir Jagdishchandra Bose in his extraordinary experiments on plant life which were acknowledged by biologists and scientists world over.

Hello Prof, Well it is nice to read your story. I too never believed in bad visions but in some situations, i was forced to believe that. Because I have seen things. Recently my baby cried suddenly with loud noise and everyone in my family got afraid. I don't know why he cried. I thought some insects had bitten him, but it is not the case. He was afraid and rounded his eyes everywhere with fear. Later we started to church and prayed. Soon, he came back normal. It was different experience and many said it might be some bad spirits or bad eyes from some persons. I can say it might be some bacd eyes but I don't believe in ghosts. Its my 2 cents. Nice discussion. Cheers.... Have a great day always....

Very interesting.. Earlier also , you had shared one encounter with ghosts in some other interesting place you had visited in the course of a conference or so. I have no similar story to share and I do not wish it also because I am scared. Regarding this 'evil eye' I do believe that there is an element of truth in it though sometimes I tend to have my doubts that it is mere superstition or coincidence. But I have experienced it personally that some people's comments have such a negative impact. Regarding this 'more you distribute the more they grow'--I am not sure. THis contradicts the statement of the 'evil eye' because there is no guarantee that all the recipients would have a good heart free of jealousy.

Namaskar Sir In 1993, we had been to Banaras. I wasnt ware of black magic or anything then and thought they were all superstitions. My brother weighed 72 before we left the station at Bhubaneswar. You know the weighing machines at the stations and it was always great to know our weights and we always used to take weights when we traveled. We returned back from the 15-16 days tour of Banaras and during this something had gone really wrong. My brother was looking like one single stick (even thinner to what I am today(as you have seen me). It was shocking to find that the weight was now 45 Kilos and we were all scared. Parents visited almost all doctors we knew those days, right from medicine specialists to even the oncologists and psychiatrists but nothing was revealed on any of those tests and every report was normal. But if it was then how come a person can lose about 25 kilos in 15 days It was then that someone recommened we should visit a Baba who was into supernatural. And he revealed that there was some "Bad Vision" thing. He did some pooja and ceremony, and within the next 20 days, my brother was much better and gaining on weight to what he was. If this would have been an experience with me, maybe I wouldnt have believed in ghosts, supernatural etc. But today, having a first hand experience, makes me believe in all these. Truly there are many things that cannot be explained.

Sid beta Seeing is believing, it is said rightly, 'the wearer knows where the shoe pinches', this bad vision is kind of black magic, witch-craft, but one thing the persons who practice that have very bad ending, they die without leaving any heirs. Thanks for detailed response. Professor Bhuwan

What an amazing story! I don't have anything similar to share but I do agree with your sentence "the more you distribute, more fruits will grow", we call this spreading good karma, what goes around, comes around. I have faith in life too.

I have never seen a ghost before but agree with the fact that the more you give the more you receive it is even in the bible.

wow! you are blessed to have that tree. I think the "ghosts" that you call are really nature spirits who live in the tree. They are caretakers not only of the tree but your property and most importantly your whole family. In our plane of existence we see the tree as only a tree but in their dimension or in the astral plane it looks different much like a castle.
