[I dont need advises crap like "dont cut classes" I am not a student anymore, I have a good paying job already] Where do you go when you cut classes, Not everyone is guilty for this but yeah I admit that I cut clases during highschool cause school is torturing sometimes, Ironically I can still pass exams despite of occasionally 'pretending to go to school" Just like most teenage boys, during my teens I go to the arcade, I love fighting games and its like my stress relievers, I also go to some cyber cafes and Playstation rentals too. Not all of my cutting classes is all about videogames though. I remember my self cutting classes to go to the Planetarium at Luneta park, Because I am so curious This may sound weird, I think during my Junior High, I have a fight my then girlfriend, I dont want to see her face so so I didnt go to school. I get to a zoo all by my self, That zoo is 3 cities away from my home. I was still able to go back home without my parents finding out. so yeah that is my cutting classes history..

I was working during my college years. I did not cut classes voluntarily, but I could not be present at many of them -- I was learning on duplicated and books -- and I discovered some of my professors faces the day of the final exams.

School is just way to stressful, yeah we need to study hard for our future but sometimes we need a break from all that stress.

I cut quite all my maths classes during my last year at high school. The teacher was unpleasant, I was doing literary studies, and the coefficient 1 for maths at my final exam was nothing compared to French and Philosophy -- 5 --, Latin, etc. We were 3 to cut these maths classes, and we were having a coffee and playing billiard in a near cafe 3 hours per week. I got a grade B pass despite of maths... and several years later I had to learn a large part of what I had missed for my job. My two classmates are now teaching French in high schools and they probably never had to learn their maths afterwards.

I also skipped the whole class many times... as in I pretended that I didnt go to school. well at a certain point,I did get caught.....You can imagine all the scolding I went through... Math is the reason why I don't want to go to college. I had been there, done that and I don't want to experience math ever again, specially algebra, calculus, Trigonometry and all of those torturing subjects. English,Filipino and History are like my fave subjects in highschool.

LOL opposites. My history teacher during highschool looks like a supermodel, that could be the reason why I love History, she makes melvoe history cos she is hot. I was dreaming to be a writer during highschool that's why I love language studies. I want to learn how to speak 5 languages but I only know 3.

Oh that was amazing you dont like math but i love math. But the main reason of cutting class was language study and social studies.I hate both of these very much so i cut the class and just go have some coffee or to cyber cafe.

In elementary school I never cut classes, but I sometimes did it in high school. I often walked around in town at first. I visited the mall in my city or some of other the shops. After a while I usually went back to my home. The winters in my country are very cold, so it would be too cold to walk around outside all day. I knew that both of ny parents left for work in the morning, so I didn't go back till they had left. One day I was caught, because my mother had forgotten something and suddenly came back to the house. I told her that my classes were cancelled, but she didn't believe me

I experienced the worst nagging of my life when my mom caught me cutting class. I bet she is happy that she doesnt have to feel the stress of my trainwreckness. I am in good terms with mymom now, I feel some guilt for cutting classes before but past is past. I stopped cutting classes when a teacher of mine,,,,,calls the house daily to tell my mom if I go to school or not.

In high school, there would be designated "skip days" across my whole county where people would skip out on school. A group of friends and I would go to IHop, go to the mall, and just hang out with each other for the day. They'd always be on a Friday so that we could hang out all night and fall asleep and then just keeping chilling on Saturday. In college, I only skip class if I oversleep, am hung over, or if I need to get work done for another class. Sometimes I skip if we're not doing anything in the class as well. I try not to make it a habit though.

I remember there was a time where the mayor makes an order to not allow teens in school uniforms(cos all schools in my country wears uniform) to go inside the mall. well those teens are resourceful cos they bring extra clothes inside their bags.

I was a very good student in high school. Never had the experience of cutting classes because the university was quite strict about that. The parents too were disciplinarians; however, when I was in college, I not only cut classes but I was always absent. I had friends who were also bored with endless studies that we would often go to the mountains. I was studying then at a university on the northern part of the country which was well known for the scenic mountains and cool climate. My friends and I were quite good in school that our gallivanting hardly affected our grades. It is just so good to have some fun once in a while without sacrificing education. We didn't have internet then and it was different when you make friends with real people and engage in physical activities like hiking in the mountain slopes. I really miss those days when life was easy and happy.

I never played hooky when I was still in high school, but there were some occasions where our classes would be just for half a day due to some saint festival or something, so we would have the entire afternoon off. Like most teenagers, having these occasions were a treat and definitely we would not want to spend it at home. In our time, there weren't that many malls and my friends and I didn't really have any money to spend. So what we would do is to just hang out at one friends house, rent a movie (it was still in betamax form) and watch scary movies. I remember that we were so addicted to scary movies that we were able to watch all the sequels of "Nightmare on Elmstreet", "Hellraiser" and other movies of that time that was scary. We considered it boring and that we had run out of movie choices when it would be a love story that we would be watching. If the house of our friend that had the betamax player wasn't available, we would just hangout at another friends' house. I think in my high school days, I only had two friends who owned betamax players. At this other friends' house, we had free snacks courtesy of her mom. They always had over two dozen eggs since their family owns a newspaper stand and sometimes the payment for the paper would be eggs. Since the family was tired of eating eggs, my friend's mom would be so happy to have us over since my friends and I would consume about a dozen eggs or more.

I remember when there is a special holiday that my parents are not familiar with,... "I go to school" just for the sake of having allowance and I dont want to be board all day long at the house. I remember I go to a mall, The mall is really popular for many class cutters. a Freddie krueger marathon? that sounds awesome. The earlier movies were serious horror movies but the latter have comedy elements. When I was like 5 years old, My family have betamax, then my dad get rid of it in favor of VHS.

You went to a zoo when you and your gf had a fight??? That's some weird place to go during an LQ. I remember the time that I cut classes back in college. I forgot the reason but it's probably because of laziness and of friend's influence. We went to my friend's place to watch a movie. It was the first time I cut classes so it was memorable. I was so worried back then because I was thinking that I was missing a lot in class and I'll be sorry the next meeting. But it turned out, my absence was negligible. LOL

Hi Capt! Well I feel like a perfect student when I as in high school! because I never cut class even once back then! hehe But no, I am not a perfect one coz even if I didn't cut class, I always absent from class specially when I as in 4th year due to some health issues but I'm glad that I as still able to get good grades back then. I experienced cutting classes when I was already in college. I do it just to join my classmates in going to a fiesta in nearby town...haha i just don't have choice coz all of them are going and I don't want to attend classes alone. Haha and another is when we join a rally.

haha...I'm not fond of rallies as well, but what I want is to experience it, how it feels to be there, and since I am from the province, joining the rally in Manila is an opportunity for us to stroll around the Metro. Its just good that the rallies that I've join are all peaceful.

I think rallies wont be chaotic if the protesters are not aggressive, usually some people who lack breeding are really violent protesters and when the cops hurt them they will cry for human rights.

speaking of rallies, I rather stay at home and whine in the internet than whine in the streets and have my head to be hit a stick or be wet by water hose by some crowd control policeman.

I was a model student during from fist to second year in highschool. When we move to North (I came from South- thu I am a native from North) I started to learn (yes learn) to cut classes. Maybe because I was a transferee and I am kind of not so friendly (I am friendly but looks snobbish) that only few of my classmates welcome me sincerely. Not to mention, maybe some honor students are threatened with my grades. Actually- on my first day in school I had to dispute my right when I saw my name on the last section (as per transferee rules- duh!) I went to the principal's office and laid my case- I was transferred to section 2- not bad. Maybe that's the reason why some students are aloof (hehehe) Yes,I go cutting classes on the first quarter becoz I don't feel I am welcome. I have two close buddies- a lesbian and a gay (sounds odd and funny hahahaha, but they're great) We watch movies since we're just 30 minutes away from the city. Besides, I was living in a dorm by that time. But it's not so often since I need to prove that I deserved to be on the top section. It's exciting huh, especially when you do it the first time (hahahaha) I've done few times- but decided to stop when I was on my 4th yr. I want to graduate with flying colors and also for the sake of scholarship :p

I cut classes too because I cant stand certain classmates and a teacher too. I do have some friends in highschool but I am such a bully magnet. I can fight back and defend my self but for some reason lots of guys wanted to start a fight with me, when i kicked his butt, his friends will attack me, Geez Highschool is hell. I also did cut classes when I have relationship problems with my girlfriend.

LOL! I was not a perfect student, but I didn't cut classes, either. Well, I did it once, but I wasn't very good at it and got in trouble, so I decided that it just was not worth the trouble. I do not lie well, so I found that being honest worked much better. I just said that I was tired and didn't feel well, and I asked if I could go to the nurse's office and take a nap. Since my homework was done and my grades were good, the teacher just let me go.

I couldn't get away with the "pretending to go to school" and then not going, because the bus picked us up and took us, since we lived in the country. Besides, I had relatives on the bus that would have noticed if I had not gotten on when I was supposed to. I had to try to sneak off once the bus got to school but before any of the teachers or assistants noticed what I was doing, and that was more difficult than you would think. LOL @ homeschooling. I think that is one way to keep them from skipping classes, but just imagine what they will say about their teacher when you aren't listening!

Hiya Captain Great one! During my study - I did attend only 13 classes in Classes XI and XII. We call it intermediate here and it was the first two years in college. Then during graduation,I attended only 60odd classes and paid bribes to the clerks to keep the attendances update to reflect 98% I was more interested in MOVIES, doing charity and social work. If you remember, I always wanted to study Astronomy, but as financial conditions werent right and good, I could not get to join despite my being 4th on the National Entrance and also winning a Scholarship. That had got me upset and frustrated. And I didnt want to study. But then, I had to do something, right! So I took admissions and had thought of becoming an activist and a social worker. I was lucky to have found a similar set of friends and we did enjoy those moments and times really hard! No Girlfriends ever, though I had girls in my group of friends who lended us all their time when it came to doing social work and organizing workshops involving women oriented things. I never felt bad or anything when I did cut the classes or I should say attended them, and I personally feel that these outdoor activities did help me learn and understand life better... much better than what I could have learned studying economics or politics...

I really wonder why I am so fearless as a teenager, why I am, such a rebellious wild child and now I was just a bland weirdo. LOL I want to stay youthful, I dont want to age fast, I know quitting this job of mine is the first step but I need to be stable first. I wish I will be so stable that i can quit my miserable job and be an adventurous "Tom Saywer" again.

Just wait till college. If you're already cutting class, you'll definitely cut class in college lol. There's really no attendance for most classes so you sometimes don't feel like attending. I workout at the gym all the time during class time. I still get good grades. Some people actually never attend class and just read the textbook and get As. So worry not. Your torture shall soon end.

I have no plans on going to college, I was able to find a Job in a call center after graduation and 7 years later I was in a better position and have a position usually gave to college grads. I dont think I have the patience to go to school again and I dont want to be the oldest student in class and I dont want to deal with teenagers again.

I was a good student until I became close with my bestfriend I openly told her about it. That she was a bad influence to me before We both used to cut classes because we took a lot of time just standing in the road waiting for a vehicle to take us to school, this was in Highschool days. But there were lots of vehicles - we just had a great time looking at the bus that passes by laughing at people who we caught sleeping on the bus We are that weird sometimes. One day, we had to cut classes because we're so late in our Math class and our teacher there is a serious type and we don't wanna get scolded so we just roam around the school and waited for that class to end. Another one that I can remember was when we got hungry, we went out to eat some bread (flying saucer as we call it then) and softdrinks. We didn't notice the time and when we did notice it - we run to the room just to be scolded and the prof asked us to write this line: "I will not go out again during our class" on a long pad paper, back to back - whole page.

When I was in high school I never cut classes as it was taken very seriously... but in college I definitely did. Sometimes because I didn't like the teacher, or I wasn't prepared and didn't want the teacher figure out that I have no idea about the previous lecture (I didn't skip exams though). The main reason for cutting classes was that I had to go to work too in the last few years.

It's really nice of you that you want to make up for it and make your parents happy! Since they are parents, I guess they would be happier though if they saw that you are still doing good at school, even if you missed classes. I only know my parents, but they don't remember too well how stressful school was :)

hi i never use to cut classes during my high school cause my school is very near to my house like 5 mins walk so if i even try to think of cutting, i'll be grounded... but college was very different story, my first ever cutting experience was going to a mall with my friends, we went there like early in the morning..the mall wasnt opened yet and we were sitting on the steps and interesting we made some friends over there, it was funny to think back how i was so nervous and all...

during my high school days, together with my friends cut class to go swimming in the nearby river. one time, we cut class to play counter strike at a cyber cafe we constantly visit. as we were playing, we heard the voice of our prefect of discipline at the door. we rushed to the comfort room to hide. we were like sardines inside a cubicle, about 6 persons. but we were still caught, we were suspended for a week!
