Stupid ways to get attention

Just saw one of my friend post just now, She was so upset she broke off with her bf, so she decided to get a knife and cut her wrist.
the best thing is she immediately get her camera and snap pictures of her hand on fb and tell asking god to take away her life coz she cant live without him.
If i feel so sad like that i prefer to stab a fish or chicken and post it to my wall!! muahahaha

people who do this should be taken seriously, we all deal with certain things in different ways, it is hard to get over a break up and it seems she has taken her break up badly, this girl needs help, she has tried to hurt herself because of what's happened, i don't see the funny side of this, be it she was just looking for attention or not, she went ahead and did it, so please be more sympathetic with her, she needs a friend right now, i know these people do it for attention and that's just it, they NEED attention and a bit of help from a friend.

She will get all the attention she wants on facebook... maybe not the kind she wants. It's totally stupid, but then again she can't be thinking straight. There are times when I don't want to live, but haven't done anything to make it happen. Everyone needs a friend, and Trinkabelle is right... she probably does need attention.. but I think she also needs some serious mental help from professionals, if she hasn't got it already.

i agree with you PQ but the attention she NEEDS is mental health help, no one in the right mind would try this, there has to be something underlaying for her to go ahead and hurt herself THEN post a picture of her injuries, even if she did post her injuries on that site, she is after some kind of help, be it, sympathy attention or professional help, i still think it's mean that people are laughing at her for doing this, these things are serious and no one should take things like this lightly, it's clear she wasn't thinking right and did this on the spare of the moment, she needs to talk to someone or get help straight away.

we all deal with things in a different way, some people are more sensitive than others, some can deal with break ups, some can't, she dealt with it that way by creating attention, we should never take these things lightly, be it just for attention or real help, either way this girl needs to have a friend and not be laughed at, i wouldn't call it cowardice, i would call it fear, a cry for help

I agree with you cairlyssa. It was so stupid of her to do such a foolish thing. Lol. If my girlfriend tried to break up with me, go ahead, do it, I may say that.

These kind of acts really needs courage
.. If I feel sad I listen to music or go out where no one can find me. I'll just travel and go places. But she made something to get the attention of her boy friend. She really loved him very much I hope... Now the question is will the boy come back or leave her alone?

Oh that's stupid , well this is true though many Users on face Book do odd stuff there share there private life on a public forum which is always annoying for me . I have Many friends they share the food they ate last night . More annoying is that friends are coming to comment on the pictures ...Quite strange :p

Hello there. I think, I find a pattern in your friend's behavior.. I have studied psychology a little, and it privileges me to find things in behavior... Trust me, it is not new... People are like that..
Your friend, shocked at the break up (even if it was anticipated), cut her wrist in the shock of grief... And later, she might have regretted her deed or she might not... But she found a way, to express her grief.. 'Public Display of Emotions', as it is called... She uploaded the pictures to show the world the sacrifice she was going to make... I guess, her boy friend, his friends, their common friends are all on FB... So your friend thought, she would tell them how she felt and what was her immediate reaction...
Just my thoughts based on the experience...

Wow. That really is an obvious attention-seeking behaviour. To cut your wrist and then purposely upload pictures of it....
It's kind of sad that she thinks people will happily give her what she wants if she does things like that.

Ouch! She is weak than me because when my partner betray me. I feel very bad in that which resulted to severe depression until now...but I don't want to make such thing. What I have done to relieve my pain was closing my eyes and pray then listening to music, watching youtube videos and make my self busy doing a lot of online program...the result was when I am so upset was making me money...

Hi Caira, it is sad to see why so many people are so stupid and do lots of crazy things because of love matters. This is not the only time i heard people do such a stupid like this. In fact, through newspapers and other source of news, we can heard many types of crazy action happening because of love didn't go according to their desire wishes. I hope by now, your friend hand's had recovered. How's her boyfriend? Have they manage to patch back their relationship after this incident?

That is a stupid way to try to get yous boyfriend back! Even if he comes back because of guilt or pity,he will never stay! And who would want that!Get over it!If somebody dumps you ,they do not deserve you.So put the whole thing behind you,learn from the experience and move forward.Have some pride!

Geez, your friend is basically threatening her ex boyfriend. 
Why would you do that!? she' like taking her sadness to the next level. Is she trying to get her boyfriend back by telling the world she's physically hurting herself just to make her boyfriend feel bad. That's so selfish!!! I can see that breaking up with your partner is sad but no need to slit your wrists to show it! Some people get pretty desperate to get attention and make others feel bad.
