Deleting year old discussions

I have some discussions that were started like 3 or more years ago!! Is there a way I can completely delete them off? What is the sense on keeping them when they are so old that obviously no one is going to comment on them anymore and besides that even if somone did comment on them it may not do me any good anymore....not that their opinion isnt good its just that some of my discussions are for situations that where going on in my life way back then and I just dont want them on here and see reminders of some things.
so how can I delete them is the question?

sadly you cant delete them they give mylot some ratings or something like that but it can be fun to go back and read your old posts? i don't know cause i recently started mine a few days ago

I think you can not delete them. Only the administrator are allowed to delete discussions and comments. I believe that it is there forever unless the administrators do a general cleaning and delete old post or discussions.

I don't think you can delete them, and they still add value to the site, and potentially more money for you. Even if you get comments on them that are no longer any interest, you may also get comments on newer discussions too.
The more content there is on a site, in general the more value the site has.
