I was in 2nd year high school when I was diagnosed of Migraine. What happened was, I got headache for consecutive of 4 days. I was thinking that it just a simple headache due to stress from school or due to weather. Til' on the 4th day, I can no longer tolerate the pain. My mom got panic and she brought me to the hospital. The doctor asked me how is the pain attacking me. I said 9 out of 10% is my rate to the pain I'm experiencing. And I can only feel the pain on the right side of my head. Until the Doctor found out that i am suffering from migraine. Migraine is a kind of disease that something manageable. It started from stress. So, as much as possible, I have to avoid stres to prevent attacking of migraine.

I suffer from chronic migraines. I just had a mild one a couple of days ago. I have been able to get them under control with a simple vitamin. I read in a magazine about the effects of vitamin B2 on migraines. I thought that they were nuts, but I figured it would be cheap enough to try. I started taking only ONE vitamin B2 tablet each morning and the change was incredible. I have a migraine every three or four months rather than two to five per month. I sing the praises of vitamin B2 to anyone who will listen because it works so well. Plus there are no side effects except that your urine might be a bit more yellow from the vitamin but that is a small exchange for the lack of pain. You might consider trying the vitamin. Also, when I get really bad migraines, I place ice packs at the base of my skull on my neck. It helps the pain a lot. I haven't had to use that for almost a year because of the B2 vitamins.

I get what the doctors call Migraine Seizures. I got my first one when I was 8 years old. I was in the hospital for 8 days for them to do all sorts of tests on me. I lose memory, get a bad migraine and see spots in front of my eyes. It is the worst thing ever. It's funny that you started this because I had another seizure today. It is really scary because I lose half vision and everything. Then it is SO painful after I get my vision back...

I have diagnosed with migraine as well when I was in college. (that was approx 4 years ago. ;p) Yes, unfortunately we have to avoid stress, it's one of reasons migraine might trigger. Good thing, you didn't suffer vertigo. When I was in college, i think it was thesis days. My migraine and vertigo attacked at the same time. I was just asleep the whole 4 days. I woke up just to eat and to drink medicine. The doctor said, I just need a full 8 hours of sleep everyday to prevent the attacks of migraine and vertigo. I'm happy that you didn't experience vertigo as well. Get well and be positive. :D

Sorry to hear that you, as I do, suffer from migraines. It's a terrible ordeal. I actually find that I have a number of different triggers; stress, colds, sinus infections, tiredness, wearing my glasses or a a hair band (pressure on my head or nose). I try to avoid as many of these triggers as I can but it's not always possible. I have to take a number of medications to combat the attacks such as Solpadeine and Diclac as well as an anti-emetic as I tend to be violently ill when a migraine sets in, preventing me from holding any medication in my system long enough to allow it to act. Best of luck with the management of your migraines, it's not easy.
