Just been told that i have Raynauds disease and psoratic athritis in a few of my fingers, thats one reason why i have not been on here, as it takes ages to try to type with less fingers that i can use.About a month ago was told that i have Raynauds in my whole foot, where as i have had it for three years or more in my toes on both feet a long with psoratic athritis.Thankfully i have a bed cradle to help with my feet at night, but it is still painful and now with my fingers, has really gotten me down and still not getting much sleep. Now with psoriasis on the palms of my hands as well as fingers, it feels like my world is crumbling. Can not hardly bare to roll a smoke up, so the hospital will be pleased as they wanted me to give up, looks like they will get their wish.

Sorry to hear about your health problems! I have not heard of Raynauds disease until I read you discussion! I of course have heard of psoratic athritis and I know arthritis is painful. I hope you can get help with your pain for all your problems so you can live a better life! I can't imagine the pain you are going through!

I have two friends with Raynauds. It's very painful because they suffer from being cold. Not sure if it is a circulatory problem or a nerve problem really, but I know my two friends suffer from the cold even when it's hot out.

Hi jugs, Wonder if there is any type of voice-activated keypad out there to help you in typing? Can you apply some kind of heat treatment to ease the pain? I don't really know much about the disease and can't offer much help except hope that you get well soon and send all my best wishes to you.

There is software available that is voice to type. Also for those who are blind there is software that reads. Sometimes it is pretty expensive, though.

I know what Psoriatic Arthritis is, but I don't know much about Raynauds Disease. What is Raynauds Disease? How did you get it? Is it genetic? How can you treat and/or cure it?

Raynauds disease is a circulation problem, that effects hands and feet.It is a disease that gets worse in the winter months, but mine is all year around as the tint vessels to my toes have narrowed and stopped a high percentage of blood to circulate, now the same is happening to my fingers.

I'm sorry for the late response on this discussion. I have been playing catchup for the last six months and I am still 7 months behind! I'm not sure what Raynauds disease is, but it doesn't sound like any fun! I hope things have started going a little better for you. I got some good news from my doctor today so I'm feeling good about that! I will be posting about that shortly. Have a great week!!!

Ooh, that's bad luck. :( I have Raynauds too, and it's not much fun. (Even less fun with Psoratic arthritis I would think...) One of my best presents recently was a pair of fingerless gloves to wear indoors. They make it a lot easier to function. And I have heavy-duty ones for outdoors! (Not to mention the many pairs of socks I try to wear all at once!) I found this article on HubPages recently, written by a lovely lady who I follow there. I don't know if your hands turn strange colours with your Raynauds, but hers do, and she's included some really amazing/beautiful(/disturbing) photos! http://simonesmith.hubpages.com/_x8qozdkx59zj/hub/Why-are-My-Hands-Turning-Blue

I'm so sorry you are having such a hard time. But maybe the no smoking will relieve some of your other symptoms. Or at least your overall health. You do seem to get the short end of the stick health wise, and I'm so sorry you are suffering like you are.

i swear bad health news seems to always come in multiples. i never get like one thing at a time i usually am slammed with a few or a few possible things they think i have. im not too familiar with raynauds or psoratic arthritis so i hate to use the term "feel better" (ive had people say it to me when its about something that cant be cured or made better which is depressing) but hopefully you will maybe get some better treatment or answers now that you got a diagnosis. wishing you all the best *hugs*

I am sorry about your health condition, my father used to have arthritis as well, and I know how painful it can be. I hope medications will be helpful for you, and, I also understand your smoking concerns, I quit a few months ago, but, from time to time, I still feel the urge to smoke too. :) I have heard of some voice recognition typing software, that may be of good help for you too, this software is far from being perfect, I know, but, it can do a good deal of the job for you, and you will only have to fill in the spaces and correct errors, maybe, you can find somthing that will be good for you. Take care and get well.

Sorry to hear that jugsjugs!! Wish I could make all that pain go away! My hubby's psoriasis is acting up right now - especially since it's so hot and dry out - so we feel for you!! I just looked up Raynauds to see what that is ... wow. Giving up the smokes will be a good thing. Take care, ok?!

I hope they find something soon that will help with all the pain.I also hope that you get more sleep, as I know there is nothing worse than being tired and I do not suffer with the pain and it makes my day start off really bad.I can not even begin to think how upsetting this must be for you, as I know that you like to chat on the internet to people, as well as the feeling of being trapped at home.Lets hope that they will find a way to help you with the pain and that some day they may find a cure for these things.

Oh you poor thing. I had 2 friends with Raynauds disease. One had it in her hands. She had to wear gloves to drive because she got so cold the pain was terrible. Another friend had it in her hands and feet that I know of.. she was always cold and carried a heater with her to work to blow on her feet and legs. She even brought that heater to Sunday school and she wore a coat and scarf even during the warm months. She suffered greatly from being cold. The pain was unbearable.

Jugsjugs, I am so sorry. We keep hearing a famous athlete talk about the treatment he gets that helps his psoriatic arthritis, but I do not remember what the med was. I know that our two countries do not always have the same medicine available to patients, either.

I'm so sorry to hear this! I just looked up Raynauds on Wikipedia and it's so sad that you have this. I hope spring and summer will bring you a little relief, as cold aggravates it. It's good news about the smoking though. You'll feel better overall after a few days of not smoking at all and maybe your condition will improve, as smoking constricts blood vessels and does a lot of other bad stuff, too. I hope you're able to manage the condition enough to be able to do a lot of the things that you enjoy, including coming here to talk with us!

I have had Raynauds disease for several years now and I have found that making sure my hands and feet are kept warm helps the most. Once these get cold it takes some time to release the pain. This happens to my hands the most and I have found that very warm water helps the best. I have no pscoriasis but athritis in several fingers which is painful. I have found that the use of tapping relieves this pain and the more I use the tapping the faster it works on the pain. This allows me to drive and do yoga moves that involve my hands and fingers. For tapping help go to tapping.com and watch the vidio for how to do this treatment. I've been doing this for about 3 years now and it makes all the difference with control of pain. I can no longer take pain meds, they cause extreme swelling in legs and feet.

Oh jugsjugs. I hate it and am so so sorry that you are having to go through such things. I cannot believe you are in pain all the time. God bless you. I definitely will pray for you. I just hope you post another time and tell us that things are getting better for you.

So sorry to hear about your health problems. I know nothing about Raynauds disease, but I do have arthritis and know how painful it can be! Maybe if you stop smoking it will help with the psoriasis anyway. I don't know how that works but at least it would be something positive!

I was wondering why I had not heard from you in a while, but I am sorry that yiu have not been doing well healthwise. I wish there was something more I can do for you besides send you my thoughts and prayers. I know it is hard having a disease which affects you doing the things you love. My husband Randy has a serious foot condition and is unable to work because he is wheel chair bound. I am unable to work because he needs care and I have to be there at all his doctor's appointments. I wish you all the best...
