5ft 6 inch is about 167 Cm. In men, normal weight have put 100 of the height in cm. IE, 167-100= 67. So, your normal weight should be 67 Kg. Which proves that you need to increase your weight. And you need to review the eating of the type and quantity, and if not reached your weight to normal weight, you should consult a physician.

I think his average wight should be at least in the range of 66-70 kg for all his 5-7 height. I suggest him to eat as per his requirements with a diet specialist chalking out a plan for him. And he should not forget to follow a good exercise plan as well.

Dude I think your weight is not at all of right amount for a 23 year, 5'6" male. You are skinny actually. But dont worry it will be alright if you eat right food and maintain your lifestyle a little. I am 6'1" and one year before my weight was just 52 kg and I used to feel very frustrated But now I am 78kg just by following a few simple steps. Dont be empty stomach ever, give your body proper rest I mean get some sound sleep, at least 8hr a day. And one thing, may be it is my personal opinion but it actually worked for me. Be relaxed when you are eating I mean stop worrying about other things that have gone wrong through out the day and just concentrate on eating and dont go to bed right after eating. Take a break of at least half an hour before going to bed. And last but not the least consume a fair amount of water everyday. Oh I almost forgot about this, you have to lower your frequency of smoking ( if you smoke)in a day but will be better if you totally quit smoking. I think it will definitely work if you follow because all the things had worked for me. Good luck.

Yes, 47 kg is not enough especially your height is 5'6". You need to gain weight. Try to go to the gym and gain weight. You need to reach atleast 60 kg.

Its not a bad thing to be slim, I was very skinny when I was young and I went on a get fat diet with a powder from the health food shop that puts on weight but now years later I am sorry I did that because as you get older you will probably put on weight any way...

you have to check your body mass index to determine if your weight suits with your height. But for a 5'6" person with 47kg only, you are too skinny for your height. try to seek experts advice too on how you will gain weight in a safe manner.

We all have a different body weight. It has partly to do with dna (family) partly with what we eat and partly with our digestion. To be honest I don't know how tall you are but here they say your length in centimeters minus (-) 110 for a man. But still this is the average bodyweight. Some people are thinner as others. Have a finer (bone) structure as well. You don't say if you have had more weight or how you feel. If you feel great, full of energy I assume there is nothing wrong with your weight. If you like to have more weight you probably need to eat more or do some body work out (fitness or aerobics). You will build more muscles with that and muscles are heavier as fat.

I envy your weight. I wish I weighed 20 kilos less than what I am now. I suggest you live the way you are and be happy for being healthy and slim. If you want to add a few kilos drink lot of banana shake.

yes friend, i think you are too lean and your weight is very less. You have to take good food and rest. Take good notorious food and protein foods. Daily take a good sleep after afternoon lunch and have more sweets, ice creams, ghee foods, chees etc., this will help you to put weight.
