I bought this from the thrift store, I am not sure why, but back in my "political" days - AKA when I was 14 and angsty at the world (and the government). . As I was doing some pre-mature spring cleaning last night I ran across it in the very back of my closet. It's gotta be at least 500 pages long and boy is that text really, really little. I don't think I even cracked the spine in the past ~7 years? Have you ever read this one?

I started reading the 9/11 Commission Report when it came out, but after getting a little over halfway, I skipped to the back and just read the summary. I can't recall any other book that I've done this with, but it just seemed to take forever to not say much.

The report was available as a free ebook (pdf) download not long ago,so I had a look at it in that time..Basically it sets out that there was insufficient information available in time for the Military or Civilian ATC to co-ordinate to do anything about the attack on the WTC and other targets, and it was all over before fighter aircraft could be deployed..And aircraft that were scrambled were expecting something like an incoming strike from offshore..there was confusion even as to whether it was an exercise or not.
