Online Business ~ What is The Obstacles?

From feed back that i get, among the reason why some people just dont really prefer this was of making money is because of efforts they have to put to promote, handling the products, and postage etc.. can i get others opinion, what cud be obstacles dat online biz owner face while running their online store.. and maybe some ideas and suggestion on how to run a successful online biz?

The same obstacles that offline businesses face. There's a very common misconception that running an online business is easier or totally different to running a normal business: it's not. Sure, there are differences but the simple fact is that you have to put in a LOT of work to make ANY business function profitably. Additionally, an online business - especially in sales - faces competition from a global market, not just local traders. That adds complexity and can make or break your business, especially if your postage costs are high.

nope, its not the same, even method of approaches are different offline and online. The only commons between offline biz and online biz is the selling concept. and u r not necessarily have to put LOT of work if u know how to do it in smart way Being positive is essential in business, From my opinion competition are healthy and if u know how, u can make competitors as your partners too

I will consider that as part of obstacles that people look into when the are considering starting an online biz. Methods and approach for online biz and offline biz has so many differents, off coz biz concept is the same, u are selling something... Online biz has introduced easier,Simple and cheaper method that make it very convinient, what do u think?

WHen im doing sales, i like talking to provocatives prospect like you. Dont miss understand the words simple,easier & cheaper. Of coz nothing will works if u r expecting sales to come to you without doing anything. And what im saying online biz made business more efficient and if u dont own a store, u can also become an online entrepreneur without spending much capital. Im not saying online biz and offline biz are 2 diff thing..

U are new rite? U shud learn next time when u response to others discussion , make sure u put effort to response with quality input, or it is just meaningless.. You will also get to earn more when ur response has quality. You must aware your rating may be decrease when u response like that.

If all things are properly established, I don't think there is significant obstacles. I have noticed many online book stores are succesful and haven't heard of any problems so far, lyssa. Get the best security methods for your online business.

It depends on what kind of online business do you want to start. If you are starting an online store where product inventory and shipping is to be handled by you as an start-up entrepreneur, then what you have said up there is right, that most people shy away from starting this kind of business because of the hassles in running it up. But there are businesses where you can earn money online which do not require such kind of commitments on your part. Just take a look at affiliate marketing. In affiliate marketing, someone else do the work for you, and all you have to do is promote their product through your blog or website. Now, for those hardcore entrepreneurs who really want to start a business which they really own the company, the product, and the shipping of products, if you want to have a business that will not ruin your enjoyment of other pursuits in life, the solution is for you to improve the system of your business. When we say system, just like in franchising, you see kids running the business in a uniform manner while the owners just watch or enjoy other pursuits in life while their business grows on its own. You can do that also in online business, just learn how to create a system that can work on its own. To help you in that learning, I think you should check out Michael Gerber's book The E Myth, and The E Myth Revisited. It is a must-read for start-up entrepreneurs who are desiring not only financial freedom, but also time freedom.

I think hardcore entrepreneurs u refer to is called supplier, usually suppliers will provide their online store since they are more establish. But not everyone knows about the supplier site too.. So those who knows are not your target market, online market are huge, we just need to identify how to tap from the market.

Sir, that book you've mentioned must be something worthy of a read. I for one am an entrepreneur for a company I'm afraid to mention. My company sells its products online, and I don't have to buy piles of unnecessary stuff (like health products and craft supplies) waiting to be sold. Another thing that challenges me is how they'd respond to me, whether it's helping out by checking out my products or sponsoring people to do business with me as an entrepreneur. For instance, I asked one of the staff from my old school to sign up for a product, but I found out that they are already using something else. This was my product to help them save on gas/electric bills and they were not interested in it. So, if you are doing an online business, especially for entrepreneurship, do a real job first. If you can't find one, especially in these heckish economic times, volunteer. Maybe you'll get to know who is working with you before you sponsor him or her. Those are my 2 cents.

Look, to tell you the truth, I have no idea how to better manage an online store. But given today's labor shortages that exist in my country (Italy), I should be sorry not to open one an imminently. Of course I can not throw me in confusion. I must first seek advice from people who have lots of experience with. I thought I could count on you. Thank you Allesandro If i describe my imagination about online store, it wud be like opening a store to public, now ask yourself, what wud attract you to shop from a specific store? In reality, u might buy fr just any store if u like the products rite? selling online is different coz they are risk of scams, so building repo for online biz is crucial. But can easily be done ( if u are running genuine biz) for instant by using social media site to get support from your close family and friends, that wud be free but if u hv difficulties, u can also pay small amount to "buy" repo for ur online biz. Dropship made online biz easy interms of delivery and inventory, so you dont have problems to handle varieties of products.

It all depends on what kind of business they're running. Every business do have a different reason, but above all it's about financial issues and trust issues. In every business that is set there's always an effort needed in order for people to come back. To run a successful business runs in the owner sometimes, he must be strong to face the challenges that is being offered and Take care of your customers.
