hii.. is ur pc running damn slow .. wana throw it.. oh no, no need to do tat just follow the following tips and all done:-
FOR operating system:-
IF you are not using a antivirus or not update it regular. then no need to go further just install a antivirus or update ur previous. ( but if ur computer is get affected by virus so tat must effected the system files so just re-install the windows).
* remove unnecessary software's form pc. and if ur pc restart very slow.. go to
* C:/windowsprefetch folder and remove all files present in the folder.
* dn;t use heavy antivirus if ur system is slow.. eg norton, kas etc. use lighter eg. avg and avast.
*use hard disk fragmentation once in two months.
for hardware:-
increase ur RAM.
if ur rich.. use good processor too : ) .. and have a nice day

ya of course... ur right abt ram frnd.. i just given a general information so tat anyone can get learn frm it.. and defragment takes a lot time no one can do tat every week so better do it after a little more time gap.. and really feel nice to see ur respond .. have a nice day

You left out cleaning your cache. This should be done before defragging.

At the same time, being empty your recycle bin is a anther tips too. As well as delete prefetch files, deleting internet temporary files is another option makes your computer to move fast. Use a free edition of antivirus or unlimited edition anti-virus is make your computer have a strong security too.
Update antivirus before log on into internet. You can make the change. The virus cannot in unless your computer is in good security system include firewall.

Thanks for the tip but am a little scared of deleting a file in windows folder let alone a whole folder. Man! You are a brave heart. I prefer to use windows 7 manager. It does wonders.

Those are effective and good tips for this purpose. Yes better not to use heavy anti virus if we having low configurations on our system... because with low configuration it can slow down our system for sure. And removing unwanted software from the drive is the best thing to free up the memory.

The main reason that causes most computers runs slower is the increased number of programs running on a lower specs.But if you have a higher specs(i.e. at least Dual-Core CPU,and 2GB of RAM) then you don't have to worry about much else..
