Ok so I am no where close to my wieght when I married my husband. But he made an offer I think is too goo to pass up. If I lose 50 pounds he will let me spend 500 on new clothes. This should give me enough ambition to get started and to complete my task and get back to my skinny self. I did ask him about the stress he was under about bills but he states he will have plenty of time to pay off the credit card before I get there. I think even if he doesnt give me it in cash I think the thought of him trying to motivate me to get back to losing wieght is a great start. I am a part of sparkpeople but is there any great sites for wieght loss programs?

seriously, you can do what my client has done. for breakfast, 1 scrambled egg with 1 sausage, 1 yogurt, 6oz of applesauce, 8 oz of juice. lunch, 1 lean cuisine-any fish, chicken or shimp=no pasta!-1 yogurt, 8 oz tea. dinner, chicken or fish, rice or sweet potato, 1 yogurt, 8 oz juice. drink water throughout the day.leave out the pasta and the bread. do stretches in the morning. she can do 200 crunches on a good day! do it while watching tv. do stretches in the evening too. personally, i can do 25 crunches, so far. :P

I recently started a program to lose weight and I have learn so much from the others on the program as well. The most important factors I've learned are... 1: Eat something small every 3 hours to help boost your metabolism and keep blood sugars stable 2: Take it easy on the white or beige foods ie; pasta, bread, potatoes, rice... 3: It is highly recommended to drink at least half your weight in ounces of water. It helps your body flush out the toxins and function better. 4: Any exercise at all whether it be walking, dancing around while vacuuming the carpet, anything for at least 15 minutes a day. 5: Allow yourself to treat once in awhile. Let's say you did 4 days really really good on your diet plan.. take the 5th and allow yourself to have a low calorie yummy snack. If you don't you might not stick with the diet. 6: Don't beat yourself up on an off day. Pick up the next day and move on. 7: Losing weight can be done, but if you're not committed to making a lifestyle change and continuing the healthy choices after the weight is off, you will gain it back. :) Following these methods and using my shake mix I've lost 12 pounds in two weeks. I still struggle as I really enjoy the beige/white foods = carbs lol but I'm learning to find other choices. There is a BMI calculator you can use to help you know about how much calories you should be eating etc.. http://www.bmi-calculator.net/bmr-calculator/ Also myfitnesspal.com is a good tool. The weight loss program I am using is terrific and not too bad on the wallet. I had to be careful because I'm on a limited income so the cheapest option on this is $49.99 for one month supply of shake mix plus S&H which isn't bad at all. It does have an option available for us to get our shake mix free also. http://tastyshake.webs.com/ I don't know if you have a facebook or not but feel free to inbox me here if I can help with moral support at all or any questions you might have, and I'll gladly give you my fb if you'd like to add me there I can connect you with others that are great for weight loss support as well. :) Good luck on your journey and by the way it is very sweet of your husband to help encourage you. :)

Personally, I like the Atkins approach. I find the easiest way for me to lose weight is to cut way back on carbohydrates for a while. It lets me eat more of the foods I like than any other diet. It's the easiest one for me to stick with and actually lose weight. Some people will tell you that it's not healthy but that's not true. Cutting back on carbs won't hurt you in any way as long as you don't cut them out entirely. They will tell you that it will raise your cholesterol level too, but I did it for 3 months straight once and then had mine checked and it was 165. Exercise makes a big difference too. Dieting can work, but you'll see much faster results if you combine diet with a rigorous exercise program. I've done it both ways and having a good exercise program makes a BIG difference. Good Luck!

I need to find out what foods contain high amounts of Carbs because I have heard how your body will convert the carbs to sugar. Thank you for responding.

Thats a nice way to start of with some motivation.I tried to lose weight and successfully lost some 15 kg in two months.I cut down all the fat and oily items.I took high fiber carbohydrates and those of long standing sustained energy release carbohydrate and plenty of proteins of course.I coupled this with jogging and running.Being a guy I coupled it with some weight lifting to.Visit bodybuilding.com....It gave me so many ideas on diet and on training exercise. Also there will be many motivational persons.

Depending on what equipment you have available, my husband and I have started fitocracy. It helps track exercise. Walgreens walks is another one. my health insurance has a program that you earn "prizes" for documenting what you eat and your exercise, along with going for your annual physicals. So far I have received a water bottle, and an exercise "journal" with a pen. Not much but it is something tangible.

I will have to look into the Walgreen walks. That is my best source for exercises. Good idea about the health insurance, maybe mine does something like that. Thanks!

I cut back on the portions I ate to about half on some of them, not all meals. I also got the sugar out of the diet as much as possible, snacked on thing like greek yogurt, and used my excersize bike everyday for a total of 40 minutes per day and the weight came off. You might also want to drink more water and eat more fresh salad. More fruits and veggies and less of the junk food, which includes pizza, and Burger King, and especially Chinese food. The gravies, the fats, the salt all have to go. I wish you the best of luck. You still need some fats so try to use margarine low in calories for awhile. I ate alot of oatmeal for breakfast and just cottage cheese for lunch, and oh apples are your best friend too when loosing weight!

Like the oatmeal idea for breakfast, and the cottage cheese may work for lunch. Definitely buying more veggies. I can snack all day on cucumbers. thank you for responding and for the helpful tips =)

Well, Weigth watchers is one of the many great sites that you can lose weight by just dieting and light exercises. There are also sites such as myfitnesspal, fitday, nutrisystem, jennycraig, activelog and livestrong. All of these sites can help you loose weight. But it"s your opinion. Which site do you like the best or which site helps you the most?
