I think it is a strong possiblity. I meditate and have done so every day for the past 30 years or so. I have had some strong visions of having lived before. They are really vivid, but as a Zen practitioner, I realize that there is only now. Yesterday has gone and tomrrow is not yet. So the "me" of yesterday is no more, therefor the "me" of a past life is no more. Possible, but cannot be proved as it no longer exists. For some they are convinced that they have lived before, for others not so much. I was once convinced, but as it is in the past, then the only reality I have is here and now. And that is OK with me. _Derek

why do your brother wanted to see his bestfriend? i dont really believe that there is reincarnation but i respect those people who believe in it....i personally think that if there is such thing, then why will do we have to do good thing in our present life if ever we know that we will be alive again when we die...if ever it is true then we only live in cycles of we die then live again and die it makes no sense for me..

Hi syoti: I think we can proof it. Actually people who believe in reincarnation would tell you that your brother's friend may reincarnate somewhere else depending of his needs. In my case, reincarnation contradicts my religious principles and I don't believe in it. Actually it might be quite depressing to always come back in another body to learn again. ALVARO

My family does actually believe in reincarnatino, I guess it's a bit supersticious and also in the person's belief. I do think that when we die, I will be reunited my loved ones (grandmother, father-in-law, aunt etc.). Another thing I have been told that when are reincarnated your family and loved ones always remain with you, I wonder sometimes if that's true. HMMMM

I'm not so sure. I imagine that reincarnation might be possible, but it all depends.

How I wish too to see my parents once more...to show them the life we have made for ourselves, me and my brother , our kids. In India we often hear stories about someone or the other being born once again some place and people do believe them but who knows the truth its always a third person who has personally witnessed the story and never the person who is narrating the incident. Even if its not true some things are best left faith and hope for a positive out come. I think its a wonderful thought and since there is no harm to any one by believing in this then why not just have faith

Hi syoti20, I have believed in reincarnation for most of my life and am convinced that it is true. There are thousands of stories out there about people who remember past lives, or have gone to some place where that should have been new to them, only to realize that they had been there before. Often it is children who remember past lives best and often begin to forget after age 7 or 8, some a little sooner, others a little later. Blessings.

I love to give my opinion on things, but I'm always a little uncomfortable when speaking about religion. So I do try to tread lightly. But when it comes to this particular belief in reincarnation, I often wonder why it's still around. To me, the idea that our souls--our essence; our consciousness--are reborn into other living things is somewhat enticing, but it's also somewhat outlandish. I mean, if you look at it through a broader scope, a lot of things don't line up. For starters, people alive in this current generation wouldn't be the only ones up for reincarnation, right? So, logically, we're talking about tens of billions of people from the past who have all been reincarnated. But where are they? Is it you? Is it me? There aren't a lot of people running around claiming to be someone from the past. You'll find a few every now and again, but they're usually in line with the stigmatized in that they're exposed fairly quickly. So that would mean if people were being reincarnated, they're not even aware of it once their soul has transferred into something else. Then what would be the point? Your consciousness would cease to exist either way. So I don't know. This one seems really out there to me. It's a good thought to have, that you'll be able to see your loved ones again in any capacity. So keep hope alive!

Really, can a person be reborn? There is no scientific proof, and I never see it myself before, so it might or might not happen. I hope that after a person pass away, he/she can leave in peace, and whether reincarnation really happen or not, it should be a process of a lifetime to be finished, and restart again.

I highly doubt it. But if it were possible his friend would not be back for a long time. Your brother would no longer be around by that time. And if it were possible, he would never know who his friend was. He could be a girl from another country. Who knows. I personally do not believe in that. I believe once were gone thats it.

I believe in reincarnation even though I'm not supposed to. I don't know why I believe in it but I want to believe in it. It's because I want to meet again all those people who have been significant in my present life. I think the idea bout reincarnation is very cool since it makes us think there is still hope and there's still another life besides this life.
