Really I am! I will be 50 in May and my body is telling me I am a train wreck ready to happen! In the past 5 days I have gottan diarrhea! I thought I was drinking enough water! I guess not and I am sure my diet is part of the problem! Trying to change my diet and eat better I can do like a day or so then it is back to the same old sh*t! I either get bored, frustrated or some other type of stress bothers me! Denial is in the factor, too! I never thought going on 50 would be so frustrating and difficult! I need to see a doctor and maybe see a dietitian or nutrtionist. Really considering seeing about getting a lap band, too! If I don't do something soon I will be getting sicker and missing out of more work! I fear the train wreck is on its way!

Oh Blue, Sometimes I do worry about you. I am not sure how overweight you are but I know you have mentioned weight being an issue in the past and I was concerned. I will be 56 in a couple of months and I have moments of feeling it but for the most part, I feel pretty good...knock on wood. I get bracitis (spelled wrong) and right now it is acting up in my foot and it is killing me to walk. A few weeks ago it attacked my hand and of course my right hand. I've always had it but I "feel" it more now, for sure. I think the fact that you KNOW you need help combined with your brutal honesty shows that you are ready for help and that you can do it. Please go get the help you need and do whatever it takes to get you in good physical shape. As long as you are breathing, it is never too late. Gifts lost a ton of weight. I'm not sure but I think she had the lap band or something done too.

Yes, that is a lot of changes all at once and I wouldn't just go cold turkey or reccomend any one else to either. I think gradually cutting back on or things out of your diet and replacing them with other things is the way to go. I gave up soda, years ago. I drink coffee and I drink Iced water. Sometimes I get bored with the Iced water and I'll add one of those flavored drink packets to it and they are pretty good and low in calories and no sugar. Sweets was not hard for me to cut out as I never was a big fan but chips & dip was real tough. I gave up the dip first and then the chips and now I don't even crave them at all. One thing at a time. I wasn't overweight...just trying to give up the junk. My next big mission and the hardest of all will be smoking. It is such a fierce addiction but I have to as soon it will be going into effect that there will be no smoking on the premises. They were going to do that a while back and then never went forth but this time its for real and I[m pretty nervous about it. My daughter has the chronic post nasal drip and she suffers so much from it. The pills help but she also has the acid reflux which I think the two kind of go hand in hand. Good luck Blue and do keep us posted. You can do this!

I had a doctors appointment on tuesday. I went to see a specialist about my sinuses. It turns out my sinuses are ok and I have acid reflux! This explains why I was feeling so crappy! So now I am on a some acid reflux meds. I will change my diet but not over night. No more chocolate,no more fried, and deep fried food! That will be a challenge! A big one! I will stop drinking soda. Eat more chicken. Eat small meal through the day and try to learn to sleep on in incline which i won't like bacause I hate sleeping on my back! I know I need to lose weight but right now as long as I don't put on more weight I'll be doing some good! I know I can do this but it will take time! I am not going cold turkey! That is the news on me right now!

There are so many times when our thoughts make everything worse than it is. I have been on chemo for a lymphoma and had accepted all that. But the last straw was when I had my last PET CT and the scan showed "something" in my colon. JEEZZZ!!! So it was a colonoscopy, a biopsy and all the works and this week I went to the doctor. He told me then that my main source of pain was that I was overweighed and that put extra pressure in the scar tissue in the surroundings of the lymphoma. So it´s dieting and exercise for me and that should take care of most of the pain. I asked him whether I would a nutritionist, but he said to check online the Mediterranean diet, stick to it and walk 10 blocks a day. He expects me to come to see him in 3 months with 4 kilos (around 8 pounds) less. After my fear was over, I told him I wanted to slim down so that I looked awesome. The doctor smiled and said I would get there. The sweet kid must be around 40 and I´m 67.

My acid reflux disease is a pain! I have my good days and my bad days! Today was bad! I was doing good on my diet. I had lost 10 lbs. Now I have gained like 7 of it back! Some of my old habits, which are hard to break, have been one of my problems!I tend to overeat when I am stressed out and I have been under stress lately! There is alot of drama to work and that is where I get the stress! I should try and exercise. I just have not! I am morbidly obese. I don't want to lose a ton of weight! Around 50 would be ok! Nothing comes easy and the work is never done!

hi blue65packer well ri ght now is the time to lose before too much fat cells upset your bodys insulin delivery of sugar into the muscle cells and you get to become a type 2 diabetic, now you can live with diabetes but best yet prevent yourself from getting it the first place by just losing ten percent of your overweight. this is from a type two diabetic who did not know this until she became a diabetic.I just wish someone had told me why we should not let ourselves get overweight because we would be at risk for type two diabetes.fifty is t he prime age when overweight people men and women find out oh my 'g I am a diabetic type2.don't do the lap band thing til youhave tried exercising and just cutting back on foor.

I still worry about that but rught now I have to deal with acid reflux! On tuesday I went to a specialist for my sinuses. I really thought my sinuses were the root of most of my problems! It turns out I don't have sinus problems! All my problems are do to acid reflux! That explains why I do so much coughing and coughing up flem! It is also why I have been feeling so darn crappy! It also explains my horse sounding voice! Now I am on an acid reflux medicine. I am going to give up foods like that are deep fried, fried, chocolate and soda. I will also have to learn to eat smaller meals and try to sleep on in incline! I hate sleeping on my back so this will not be fun! So that is going on with me at this time!

oh this is very bad. I am very sorry for you that you have diarrhea and only drink water so you are very weak. your diet is probably not for you soon must be done within your diet specialist to not feel so. just need to eat less to calm down and then maybe all will be taken. Success!

I went to the doctor on tuesday to get my sinuses looked at by a specialist. I don't have sinus problems! I have acid reflux disease! This is why I have been feeling crappy! This is also why I was having diaherra! I was given some meds, for the acid reflux and my doctor told me it would be a good idea to change my diet! So as long as I work on my diet and stop putting on weight I should be ok! It will be a challenge but I will do it!

I sometimes feel like that too. I have a family history of diabetes and have had some stomach problems in the past on and off. I have never been truly over weight but I tried to loose up to 40 pounds at one time to get it to stay down and so I could feel less tired all the time. I hope your health isn't in jeopardy as much as you think but getting some of the weight off will help you feel much better and not need as much pain medication most likely. I have had less pain myself when my weight was lowered, just be sure to get enough protein when you are cutting back on food otherwise it will take protein from your bones and you will have more problems that way. I drink about 6 glasses of water per day and it helps to sustain my weight and body chemistry, etc. I hope you are successful on your new health adventure, i do think it is "time" for you to think more about it, thats true. I will pray that you can get on track again.

Well, lets change that train of thought first. Stress is the most harmful to your body and can manifest physically in your body. I would suggest speaking to your doctor and getting any suggestions they might have. Keeping hydrated is very important everyday as well. The diarrhea is nothing to be majorly worried about either, since it will be due to your eating and drinking habits. Diarrhea is when you consume more liquids then solids, constipation is the opposite. Find the right balance.

I went to the doctor like 4 months ago. I was not having diarrhea or ocnstipation. Irregular bowl movements, yes. I thought all my probelms where in my sinsues! I have problems with them before so I thought I was again. I saw a ear, nose and throat doctor. turns out my problems were all to acid relux diease! So I have had two nose probes done, been working on my diet, taking medication for acid reflux diease and trying to lose some weight. I have mu good days and bad days. Monday was a bad day! As long as I keep doing what i am doing things will be better! It is a sucky diease but alot of people get it to being over weight and all the crappy foods we eat which I am guilty of!
