...love to hibernate in this weather

Philippines

I cannot believe its summer. It's supposed to be hot, and I'm supposed to be sweating and complaining about the heat. Lastly, I should be dreaming and anticipating of the first outing (whether in a beach or a pool). Instead, I am stuck in a room and thinking of getting another cup of coffee in order to keep my eyes open (I'm thinking of a third). If I take a nap sometime soon, It's gonna extend into a sleep and I can still sleep soundly in the cold night. And I keep delaying my laundry since it's gonna fly every time a gush of wind comes. And It's so tempting to go home, curl somewhere and do absolutely nothing ...which will not probably the safest things to do since there are still work and chores to do. How do keep awake in this weather?

That's what i my always think of my friend, each morning i wake up and it's raining. But thinking of piled up work when i do that, would make me have a second thought. However, yesterday i asked to have a leave of absence , because we have to bring my father-in-law to the hospital. After lunch after my FIL was settled in the hospital, i slept soundly to the sound of the rain in our bedroom.

It was actually a bit raining when the ambulance came to take him to the hospital. I was the one left at home, to cook and take care of the house, while they all go to the hospital. Thus, i also find it a good time after lunch to nap. I went to the hospital near evening. It's a good thing, it rained again, just as i came back from the hospital.

It's good that at least that you get your father-in-law safety out of the hospital in this weather. It is so tempting to nap almost every time that I ate something or when the temp goes a little down. It doesn't help that my hands and feet get easily cold and the temptation of snuggling to a pillow when I still have a dump of paperwork myself.

I do not know about you guys, but I more feel sleepy when its hot. I'm not sure why, has something to do with the lack of oxygen I think. Though, this weather so far is a bit weird because a lot of drizzles and rain last week, and this week, I noticed that the sky was a bit dark.

I dunno But i am a person who gets cold easily. - the reason =why I do sometimes 'hibernate'. I do get sleepy during the heat but not as easily in a cold weather. Also, I guess the dark also contributes in some weird way or another.

I also do get cold easily. But I also do not want too much heat. I like the weather this past few days, a little cloudy and not so warm.

At work, some of my co - workers really about to fall asleep, but I clapping my hands to alarm them to stay awake. It is especially after lunch time, most people would like to have a nap. For me, I am doing okay these days, but when I got home, I would absolutely need a nap before dinner time.

So you were 'the clapper' for your co-workers. I think they appreciate your effort and gesture, especially, if there is a pile of work to be done in the office. I am amazed that you seem to be the only one that is energized. But I guess your co-workers also don't know that you do take naps, not just not in front of your desk.

The weather has become unpredictable too- it is rather hot these days but when i look at the clouds there are really thick and dark ones which signify rain..It is really confusing, it is either too hot or too cold. I can't even sleep at the right time.. And I'm getting runny nose too. My problem is the exact opposite. You could drink more coffee or juice.

In my place, it's forever gray skies and cold air, which dampens my mood for the day. I think I should control my coffee intake even though I can still sleep soundly in the evening. I drink one cup in the morning, one-half in the noon (because it is gray, cold and not really an energetic atmosphere), and another one-half in the afternoon (just to make sure I made to dinner). I think consuming juice will be a better alternative although I don't think it will have the same effect of coffee). but better not to over-caffeine myself.

In my country (Italy) to be honest the real summer will come in less than 3 months. For now it's just spring. However known that the temperature was higher and the days are much clearer. The greyness of winter, fortunately today is just a memory (see you next year!). Entering the argument of your discussion, I must say that in recent days, despite a few aches and pains to my health, I feel more active, more energetic, in essence: I want to do more things. This is a good thing, since I have a disease from "eternal tired"! When the summer finally comes, I'm sure I'll be even better, my vitality, could rise more. At least I hope so!

Well, I don't know how to live in a country with four seasons - winter, summer autumn and fall so i really can't comment extensively on your response. But yes, I can relate to your so-called disease 'eternal tired' because I kinda feel (and do) it too. Sometimes, the weather does affect my inculcation to work and my general mood for the day. Anyway, I hope the weather improves.

It is cold in our place, much like the January weather. The days are gloomy with strong winds and some rain in the late afternoon. I miss the warmth of the sunlight but the comfort of the cold weather is more welcome. I wanted to sleep this afternoon but I had lots of work so I must have drank a gallon of coffee. It is so tempting to just sleep the whole day but there is work which cannot be procrastinated for tomorrow. Anyway, its late at night and I can now sleep bundled into a sweater and thick blanket. Never ever experienced a strange summer like now. is t climate change?

I think this is an effect of climate change which also affects the La Nina phenomenon that hit us. I guess his might be a coming trend for the next summers - which is very disheartening. I was also tempted to drink a gallon of caffeine but I think it's gonna mess my body alarm system. Also, I wanna sleep all day but it also disturbs me that if I do, I would almost have done nothing all day. Not exactly my definition of a productive day or even effort.

I also find our weather these past few days unusual. I live in Rizal where there are still a lot of trees and literally I live in the mountains. It gets so cold in the evening that I can't even turn on the electric fan. But it is hot during the day, so the weather is actually making me sick because I have asthma and the sudden or abrupt changes in temperature really take a toll on me. I am not looking forward to the hot summer. I do wish that this mild weather lasts as long as it can. I was watching the news and I learned that a lot of provinces have been hit with flash floods again. Some of these areas are places where people have been flocking to in order to enjoy the beach. I guess the rains and this mild weather isn't being enjoyed by everybody right now, especially those who have planned out of town trips since next week is a long vacation for a lot of people.

I don't like this kind of summer or even the hot one. It makes me more lazy. I am a moderate weather type-of gal. I guess in my place, its a little more intense o9 the cold, a reason why every three or four hours, I am wishing for my bed., Much worse if I was in Baguio because I might actually sleep on the job. (relatives tell me that it's stupid to sue the fan or aircon on that place and hot water is absolutely necessary every morning - not for coffee but also for bath). I agree that this weather is going to be a downer for those anticipating the beach and outings. Not exactly, the sun, the sand and teh sea. But a vacation is vacation , with a little penitence on the side.

True, today's weather is bizarre but admit it, we love it though I don't like too much cold. I guess this might be the climate change, remember last Christmas the weather is still hot. I just don't want to imagine when May downwards come. I hate too much heat, who wouldn't? We need to pray a lot!

Well, i am praying for more tolerable weather. It does get a slight heat from time to time but that condition makes me more vulnerable to colds and I don't want that. I just hope these doesn't get worse or else, it will extremely ruin my summer. perhaps we should rename the season due to this climate change.

This is just so true! Just a few days ago, I left our home with the sun high up in the sky, shining ever so brightly. After around 30mins of travel, it suddenly rained so hard. I also have a difficult time waking up since the weather is so sleep-inducing. I usually listen to rock music and drink a coffee just to stay awake. It's cold and a bit windy outside and our office is really cold! I think in a day I consume 2-4 cups of coffee just to stay awake o_0
